Where the hell is Lisa ? I said to myself pacing back and forth in my living room and that's when there was a knock at the door it was her boyfriend Gerald or as they call him G-Ride wearing nothing but a sports flannel with a white tank top covering it along with a Black UGA baseball cap turned backwards with a G on the center of the hat.
Where's Lisa?! I retorted "Actually I was gonna ask you the same question Ti" he said walking in. WHAT YOU MEAN ?!! I said I was furious. "Just calm down Ti I'm pretty sure she's with RoRo he said putting both of his hands on my shoulder I was so angry at this point where the hell could Lisa be I said in my mind .
That was him and his twin brothers nickname for Rozonda and since she was dating his brother her and Lisa became buddy buddy I mean don't get me wrong we're all extremely close to each other especially since we're 3 girls who live in the hood of south central Los Angeles.
Maybe she is with RoRo I said to G-Ride I grabbed the phone and sat on the couch dialing her cell phone number I could hear the beep sound meaning that her phone was ringing I kept moving my leg because I was agitated and worried. Finally RoRo answered the phone "Hello" a broken voice said.
Ro ,You alright?! I shouted through the phone "Is Lisa with you ?!" I said curious. "Yes we're at the hospital she said faintly. Why?! What happened?! I retorted. Knucklehead got shot along with couple of his friends and they're working on him she said now crying.
Oh my god ! "We'll be there in a minute! I hung up the phone "What's wrong Ti ?! G-Ride said. I swallowed and looked at him for a minute. "Say something?! Spit it out?! He said angrily. YOUR BROTHER GOT SHOT ! I shouted at him. "WHAT?!WHO THE FUCK SHOT MY BROTHER ?! He said slamming his hand on the arm of the couch." I don't know but we have to go I said.
G-Ride and I ran out the house and got in his car and made our way to the hospital. As G-Ride was driving all I could do was stare at him he had tears falling down his face "My brother better not die on me he said as his hands tightened the steering wheel. "He's not gonna die,just pray I said putting my had on his shoulder He didn't say anything else after that he just went completely silent the whole ride to hospital. When we finally arrived we went to waiting room only to find Lisa And Rozonda sitting in chairs Lisa was holding Rozonda in her arms. "RoRo I'm sorry I said putting my hands on her back. "The doctors said they don't think he's gonna make it she said continuously crying. THIS SOME BULLSHIT I CANT LOSE MY BROTHER !!! G-Ride Shouted out in anger . Lisa walked over to him putting her arms around him as he had his hands over his face.
I looked at Lisa as she looked at me I was angry at first but since our dear friend Rozonda and G-Ride needed us the most I could hardly even be at anger anymore. Minutes went by and the doctor finally came out and spoke to Knuckleheads bother "Your Brother is going to make a full recovery but we had to put him in a medically induced coma due to his brain activity he said. "Do you know when he'll come out if it ? I asked the doctor. " It could take days maybe weeks for him to wake up it depends on how his brain activity gets . "Brain activity"? G-Ride said curiously. Yes his brain activity is low at the moment but we're going to run test on it every day to see how it is . "Thanks Doc " G-Ride said shaking the doctors hand. Can we see him?! Lisa said to the doctor. Sure go ahead the doctor replied " he's in 722B. We walked to the back where there were a bunch of rooms filled with patients Knuckleheads room was on the last hall as we were all walking down the hallway Rozonda looked so nervous and upset about the situation I could just read her like a book. When we finally arrived to knuckleheads room Rozonda broke down even more.
Oh baby she said as she walked up to his bed and began rubbing his face then she whispered something in his ear which I really couldn't tell what she said. THIS IS FUCKING BULLSHIT !! G-Ride said furiously.
Yo baby chill! Lisa said. "No fuck dat! " I need to find the motherfucka that shot my brother !!! He retorted. Out of no where Rozonda shouted I CANT TAKE THIS SHIT IM OUTTA HERE !!! And took off running I went after her but she was beating me down the hallway pretty fast running RORO ! Yelled at her . STOP !
