Chapter 12: New Beginnings

Jiu Yuan (九鸢) - 青衣 ("Qing Yi")

After their shared ordeals and experiences of the past few days, they couldn't bring themselves to part ways. With their new family formed, they each swore to remain together and protect one another. Fate had brought them together for a more significant cause and purpose, which they would come to understand in due time.

Mo Yuan's new youthful look and powerful glowing aura were on everyone's minds.  They wanted to know what happened and how it happened.

"What exactly happened to you, Mo Yuan?  You have returned to us looking no more than one hundred fifty thousand years young," Lian Song enquired with great interest.

"Lian Song, you would have to ask Liena.  It's her magic touch," Mo Yuan replied with a subtle smile before leaning into her and kissing her forehead.

Liena smiled warmly at everyone before her. This was her new family.  All the people standing before her were the most important people in her life. She loved and cared for them all deeply.

"Are we ready?"

Everyone smiled and nodded.

"As long as we travel in your aura, Liena.  Please don't let Dong Hua do it, his aura is painful, and I always suffer from severe nausea and nosebleeds for days after. I'm begging you, Liena!" Lian Song exclaimed.

She smiled at Lian Song, and without saying a word, she wrapped everyone in her aura and whisked them away to Kun Lun. Within one incense time, they were all standing at the front steps of Kun Lun Xu.

Everyone had arrived safely.

"Welcome home, Shīfu.  And to our guests, Welcome to Kun Lun Xu," Chang Shan said with hands clasped in a deep bow as he came out to greet them.

Di Jun shut down Tai Chen Palace and extended the closure indefinitely as he relocated himself to Kun Lun temporarily to be close to Li Xiang. The official outward message to the public was he had gone into self-seclusion. He instructed Chong Lin to pack and move his personal belongings and direct all work-related matters to Kun Lun Xu. He knew it would be the safest place for his Xiang'er and Liena. More importantly, he could not bear to be away from Li Xiang for even a moment.

Lian Song took a one-month hiatus from the Nine Heavens and temporarily relocated to Kun Lun to be close to his new family born of chaos. And to be close to Di Jun, Mo Yuan, and Zhe Yan as they still had pressing matters to deal with regarding Hao De and the protection of Liena and Li Xiang. Liena annihilated close to a thousand celestial soldiers and guards during her rage. There would be consequences and a need for accountability to the Nine Heavens.  She could potentially face prosecution and punishment. Lian Song swore he would protect her and Li Xiang at all costs, and he was intent on following through.

Zhe Yan would remain for a few weeks before heading home to ensure everyone injured was on the path to recovery and healing. He did not want to be away from Liena and Li Xiang after discovering his lineage and blood relation to them. There was much for them to catch up on and discuss.  He had a lot of questions and wanted to learn everything he could about his origins and family. He gained a real family overnight with Liena and Li Xiang, and he did not want to part with them. He had especially become close to Liena through their shared ordeals and moments of heart-to-heart.
