" (y/n)! It's okay I'm gonna heal you! J- Just wait!" Ju-Hee was kneeling beside you you trying to heal your leg.

" Ju-Hee... It's okay calm down." You knew she was exausted and she should be using her remaining energy like that. Plus you had already accepted the fact that you lost your leg... The only thing was the pain and exaustion that was coming with it but you were alive so you couldn't complain.

" No I'm-" She started coffing blood. You gently took her hands and signaled her to stop with a weak smile.

" We were 17 but there's only 6 of us now... With too gravely injured..." Mr. Song slowly said while everyone was trying to take in what happened too.

Until one got mad and blamed everything on the leader saying he was the one who brought them here. What an idiot... Everyone voted and agreed on the decisions the GROUP made AND freely decided to follow...

But still even you regreted it.

The silence got interrupted by another loud step just as earlier.

Everyonesnapped out of their thoughts to turn around and see the Lord walk a few step away. Sight of releif mixed with fear were made followed by strong anxiety about what would come next.

" It's not over..."
" Will even one of us survive?"

As they all questionned everything, you made a mission to yourself to concentrade and decifer the statue's next move.

It raised its hand on both side to summon something. A stone pillar suddently emmerged from the center of the room making everything tremble as it raised.

You knew what was happening... It wasn't a simple rock pillar it was

" An altar..." They all turned to you.

" An altar?"

" Like the ones that were used to make sacrifices to the gods... And the last commandment is prove your faith..." This was the alst trial you were sure of it. Well more like you were trying to convince yourself of it.

Mr. Kim was the first one to react. Him who was already mad at Mr. Song pulled out his sword and pointed it at him.

" In that case I know what we have to do. We need a sacrifice... And YOU were the one who brought us here! You caused the death of 11 of us! You have to take responsability!"

Even if that was what you said, it still wasn't certain and a decision like that should be made so rashly.

" Mr. Kim..."

" Shut up!" How dare he! You knew it wasn't the time to feel like this but you got mad at him. You were used to not being respected but you were the one who helped the most since the team entered! He should at least listen!

" No... He's right I have to take responsability for all of their deaths..."

' But it's not his fault! We all voted! Don't they have a frikin memory!"

You couldn't stand up. All you could do is watch him as he walked to the altar.

But to everyone's surpise when he walked on it, he didn't die. Instead a fire magicaly lit.

" What's happening now?!"

No deaths. Only a small fire. That meant it didn't want a body and you knew it.

You looked over to everyone. They all looked more than exausted.

" Can someone help me to the altar?" They looked at you like you were crazy and you probably were but after a few second two came to help.

" Let us go on the altar." A you did 3 more flames lit.

Then everyone had a small chat about if they could wait there for help and bla bla bla. You were only half listening as you wre thinking abou the meaning of the altar and its flames.

The only thing you kept in mind about this conversation was that since the gate was onpen for almost 7 days it you failed now all those monstrous statue would be aloud to roam outside this gate.

" You two should come up here too..." Since flames were appearing for each person you guessed nothing would start until everyone had activated their flame but you didn't bother saying that. You were too tired for that useless talk, they'll have to trust you and they did.

The last flames appeared then a huge circle of blue flames apeared around the altar. Then the most unexpected..

The door opened...

" Can we leave?"

But the statues starded to move too. Comin closer and closer with each steps.

" What! All of them! What now!"

" Everyone look at them! They stop moving if you do!" You said mostly trying to convince Ju-Hee to keep her eyes open as the others had already caught on.

" Aaahhhh" The girl who had helped you come to the altar ran out away towards the door.

Everyone watched in awe waiting for the reaction of the lair. Nothing. She got out and she is still alive. Tho her flame disapeared.

' Think'

The blue flames slowly dying one after another just as a timer.

The statues coming to scare us but with a way to stop them.

The door open as an escape and a trap.

All the trials.

' Prove your faith'

You had to overcome the fear and stay there not giving into the false hope.

Just as you semi-figured it out the guys who was holding you dropped you.

" Sorry... I don't think I can stay any longer..." Just as the girl before he safely ran out.

" We can't have anyone else leave or we won't have enough people to look at the statues! We just have to wait until all the blue flames are extinguished then the trial will end. We have prove our faith so stay even if it's dangerous."

" Miss (l/n)... You may be right but what tells you the door won't completly close after the last blue flame? Are you certain of that?" Mr. Kim asked.

"..." You couldn't answer. Of course you weren't certain! You couldn't be sure of anything here!

After your silence, he started his monologue. He said he used to look down on you which you you but then started to thank you about keeping the few of you alive and how you were able to solve the riddles to save then.

"... But, I also have a family. I can't die here because of a gamble. I'm sorry I can't stay more. I'm sorry. I'm sorry (l/n)..." And he ran out. You screamed to him to not do it but it was too late.

Your blood boiled... Anger. You gritted your teeth. Sorry? What does it even mean in this situation! Him leaving meant you would die.

Now only 3 with the statues coming closer... Was there even a way out for everyone?

Yay finally I'm almost done with that part! After that I'll have more fun. It will look less like the manga and as the story will advance it will be more different.

Just repeating but this is in the Solo Leveling world so I don't own it
And the first chaps are STRONGLY inspired by the manga ( I litterally took line from it!)
So yeah just sayin!
