Rogue's Background - Ahlai Daeva (OC)

Physical Description

Ahlai is a healthy female, 1.75m (5.74ft), 65kg (143.3lbs), she is currently 25 years old. White hair, blue eyes and her skin is white. She wears a leather armour and has some dark blue clothing. She wears a silver ring, a gift from her beloved one, something she keeps with her to reminder her that the gods are everything but merciful.

Personality

Ahlai is a brave, courageous and a quite energetic person.. She hates all of the gods and wishes that all of them would cease to exist. She'll be loyal to those around her until she has reasons to doubt them, however despite being somewhat loyal she feels she has no reason to care for her allies' feelings, neither will she show her loyalty to them. She'll prefer to be tagged as an outcast, untrustworthy or a traitor until she has been proven she can fully trust them.. She cares little for the feelings of her enemies, has trust issues and dislikes people who talk too much. When talking to others she'll be often rude, not because she wants to but because her heart is broken due to her past, therefore she tries to push everyone away with her rudeness to avoid getting her heart broken again. She also refuses to lie and/or do anything deceiving, she'll always be truthful and when talking she'll either be direct to the point or truthfully merciless.

Early Years

Ahlai never met her parents, after her birth she was left at an orphanage by her parents. She never felt "home" and didn't made any friends there except for one girl of the same age as her who's name was "Ellie DeCoud". To Ahlai, ever since a young age, she looked up to Ellie. Ellie had a slight French accent and just like her, they both were Elfs.
In the orphanage they had all kinds of teachers, classes and subjects, Ellie was pursuing a religious career, aiming to be a future Cleric, while Ahlai showed imense prowess in magic and stealth, she soon aimed to become an Arcane Trickster Rogue. 

Both grew together, building an ever lasting friendship, even tho their paths were different, they kept supporting each other. With Ahlai still looking up to Ellie, she could somehow understand her reasons for wanting to become a cleric, but ever since she realized her parents abandoned her, she started to ask herself "What kinds of Gods they are, if they allow a child to be abandoned by the ones who've brought me to existence?", never finding an answer, Ahlai despite respecting Ellie's beliefs, every day that she was alive was another day she believed less, and less in the god's good will.

Later Years

After many years when both Ahlai and Ellie were 20 years old, they decided to travel around the world. While traveling and spending so much time together, both realized that what they felt towards each other wasn't just a simple friendship. Despite Ellie being a faithful servant the gods she knew that her god, the God of Truth wouldn't punish them for their somewhat Heretic relationship, after all this love was born of nothing but truthful feelings.

After their travels they decided to settle down in a city they had visited before, marrying in secrecy as well, both made their vows to each other and Ahlai even went as far as swearing to Ellie and her god to tell the truth for as long she was alive. Living an happy life both Ellie and Ahlai from time to time would go on small adventures with small parties around the city or even around the kingdom. Ahlai always in the front lines having her fun with her spells and her sneaky attacks while Ellie, would be looking after Ahlai, protecting her and healing her whenever she needed.

The Sealing

Just like any other adventure, when Ahlai and Ellie were 25 years old, they accepted another mission. However they did not know this was all but a trap, an ambush. They had only been warned that they would be searching and fighting a creature from the tales.. They were called Tailed Beasts, these creatures had immense power and could wipe entire city's with one attack.

Both believing in the words of the party who had invited them, they followed altho, Ellie did feel something strange, as if her god was warning her of something, she thought it was nothing. While traveling Ahlai had been secretly writing a poem for Ellie, she planned to give it to her as soon as they'd return home.. 

 However, after a few days of searching, of traveling they were led purposely to an old ancient ruin. And suddenly Ahlai and Ellie were surrounded by their party. The party claimed to be sent by the divine gods, claiming that their relationship was sacrilegious and therefore they had to be killed. But, this time Ellie knew they were lying, she knew they were after Ahlai and her impressive arcane prowess. Ellie realized they wanted to turn Ahlai into a vessel of the creature that they were looking for, turning her into a Weapon. But.. Ellie had no time to warn Ahlai of this, neither did they had time, or the opportunity to run away. Ellie felt the immense power of the creature coming towards them and she did what it was needed to save Ahlai.

Borrowing all the power she could from her god, Ellie started chanting words after words, Ahlai knew what she was saying.. She quickly realized what was happening there, but before she had time to react the creature appeared from the bushes and Ellie, not losing a second sealed Ahlai and the creature together into the ancient ruins, as she did so they party of traitors, tried to stop her but it was too late, and while Ahlai could still see and hear everything.. She saw her beloved Ellie being brutally murdered right in front of her, not being able to say not even goodbye she is sealed away.. Not knowing what exactly were the party's motives, Ahlai strongly believed that the gods had been the ones causing all of that.. The ones that took her wife's life from her hands..

While Sealed

Ahlai had lost track of how many years she had been sealed.. She couldn't tell if it had been decades or even centuries.. Inside Ellie's seal, Ahlai wouldn't age..
Sharing the seal with the tailed creature, she soon learns that the creatures name is Matatabi and that she speaks. After years, decades of being there together, despite Ahlai's hatred against the gods, they become good friends. Matatabi had not expected to ever have a friend ever, and understanding Ahlai's pain and hatred she decides to share her power with Ahlai.. Creating a mystical bond between both, Matatabi was now "inside" Ahlai, turning her into a Jinchuriki. As she shared this mythical bond with matatabi and after so many years her elf years started disappearing as if, their bond was turning Ahlai into the best version of herself besides having remained sealed there for many more years Ahlai became strong enough to wield  Matatabi's power.

Present Day

After centuries of being sealed, just like Ellie had planned the seal's "timer" had come to an end releasing unexpectedly Ahlai back into the world.
Searching around the ruins where she was sealed, she searches and searches for anything that could've belonged to Ellie, but she didn't find anything.. Walking away from there, Ahlai makes a small shrine in memory of Ellie. Swearing to Ellie's shrine she'd keep her promise of speaking only the truth and that she'd have her revenge.

Not knowing how many years had passed, Ahlai now wanders around searching for vengeance against the gods and clues as what year she and Matatabi are in.
