Nyx Vahan - Infiltrator Rogue

Physical Description

Nyx Vahan is a healthy High Elf male, 1.80m (5.91ft), 85kg (187.4lbs), he is currently 100 years old, but appears to have 20. Dark grey hair, grey eyes and his skin is white. He wears a simple modest suit from the victorian age, he is also always wearing a black and red leather mask that covers all of his head. He carries a necklace with him, a reminder of his past.

Personality

Nyx is usually quiet, observing and discreet. He hates any type of injustice and does anything he can to uncover the truth. He strongly believes criminals should pay for their misdeeds no mater the price, he is willing to go to any extents in order to apprehend them but will never take their life. He hates all of the gods and wishes that all of them would cease to exist. He has trouble trusting people, not giving his loyalty or trust to just anyone, however when he does, he'll be loyal to the extreme even if it means giving his life. Despite this high level of loyalty he will rarely show his loyalty to them. Nyx doesn't care much about how his enemies feel, all it matters is to bring them to justice. He rarely opens exceptions to criminals, upon doing so is because he believes their wrong doings is not caused willingly but because they are forced. When talking to others he'll be often considered rude, not because he wants to but because Nyx is always honest, and says everything he thinks. He is considered to be either direct to the point or truthfully merciless. 

Nyx is a masochist, not only he doesn't care for pain he truly enjoys it. He also has some mental issues, he has some degree of schizophrenia of which he is aware, hallucinates with images of himself constantly specially when trying to solve a clue or hint, during this hallucinations he will talk to his images as if they were by his side. He avoids spending too much times at public places due to this. He experiences some kind of emotional numbness, but in rare occasions he does feel empathy, what causes that empathy is unknown to him or anyone who has met him. He also suffers of some degree of depression, feeling sometimes as if all that happens is his fault, believing and constantly pondering to end his life would result in a better ending for everyone. 

Early Years

Nyx never knew his parents, from a young age and for many years ahead he was told they had died in an horrible accident, only to later find they had been murdered. As he grew he devoted his life to uncover new clues, new hits or evidence that could potentially lead to his parents murderer. Having grown around detectives he soon learned their techniques, and soon enough in his teen years he found the identity of his parent's murdered, moved by hate he chased after the criminal, planning to end his life. Before he could do anything he experiences his first hallucination, the images of himself, and the conversation he had with them caused him to cease his vengeful way, delivering all the evidence he had on the criminal to the authorities.

Nyx would later pursue the detective carrier himself, determined to bring to justice any and all criminals, he more than anyone knew the importance of finding the perpetrators and bringing them to justice. Along side his hallucinations, that many would argue to be a distraction, Nyx found a way to discuss the cases, clues and evidence with his images making his deduction work much easier. 

Later Years

After a few years on his job, he got his hands on a case that would change his life.. If he was already determined to bring criminals to justice he would be even more now. A case of a missing girl, Vicky was her name. The local authorities had gotten the case, and as always Nyx was helping them. It was a race against time, every minute, every second counted. Working effortlessly Nyx followed clue after clue until he cracked the case but.. The authorities wouldn't touch the suspect under claims of not enough evidence. Nyx knew it was all lies, the evidence was clear, this criminal was simply being protected by someone important.. Nyx did all he could, but he couldn't go against the law, as time passed they shortly after got clearance to arrest the suspect, but it was too late.. Vicky had already been murdered by a man named Frank Axel, the authorities barely found any remains, Frank had dismembered the child and given it to his bloodthirsty dogs in an attempt to hide any evidence, all that was left was a necklace with Vicky's picture which he always carries with him. That day when he returned home, he couldn't even face himself in the mirror. He felt he was the one to blame, only if he had done more maybe she'd be alive.. As the sight of himself was unbearable he started wearing a mask, acquiring a nickname along side it, Rorschach. From that moment on he had decided, no matter what he would bring any criminals to justice, even if it meant breaking someone's bones.

Raul's Case also opened his eyes. Raul was a young human boy, of age 17. He was a suspect of murder. As Nyx initially takes the case he believes the accusations to be true, but something was off.. Not being able to properly rest, he decided to dig deeper. Always remembering his promise to Vicky, he once again effortlessly followed lead after lead, investigating everything. He would soon uncover a much more dangerous criminal. A man was blackmailing, torturing and using kids to commit all kinds of atrocities in his name. Almost losing his temper, he delivers all of the evidence, including the criminal with a broken leg, that according to him "it was already like that". Clearing Raul's name and other kid's names, Nyx now double checks everything sometimes even triple checks.

Present Day

Many years had passed, many cases had passed through his hands. All the cases he took, all were solved, some criminals were beaten, others were not. Nyx always claimed "They were already like that", some doubted it but his methods worked. 

Nyx continues to solve cases, to investigate and bring criminals to justice no matter the price, with just one rule 'No Killing'.
