Slowly opening my eyes, looking around the room. Dried blood soaked into my clothes and the floorboards around me. Peering down
to my now stump, the smell of burned skin filling my nose. The once attached piece of my arm now laying on the ground like trash.

Reaching over to my backpack, grabbing the gauze, wrapping my stump. Getting up from the ground and head to the kitchen looking through everything. After looking through everything, I found a can of corn in the pantry and a couple water bottles. Putting the few items into my bag, I head to the door. Checking the windows for the walkers that were following me, seeing nothing I run out the door.

"I'm coming baby" I said as I went through the woods

Rick's POV

Clementine hasn't been the same

Carl hasn't been the same

I haven't been the same.

The tension through the group became more apparent after Raven died. Although we haven't known her long, her aura brought a new found hope to our group. All of the feelings we have been putting down was now coming to light. The grief of our lost world, family members, and friends.

The group blamed me in some way, I knew they did. How could they not? I blamed myself. If she just left with me we could have made it. Why didn't she just come with me?

As the days passed without her here we slowly came to terms with the situation. She wasn't coming back.

Raven wasn't the only thing we were grieving. We were also preparing for the loss of our fences. The walkers were piling up and making it lean over. God, why isn't anything going right for us? There was nothing we could do, we already tried luring them away with the animals we had but they all came back. The constant shift of walker killers stayed at the fence trying to keep the fence with us, as long as possible.

"Rick, there's a woman at the fence." Daryl yelled out to me

"Is she alive??" I questioned, wondering why this would matter to me otherwise

"I wouldn't tell you if she wasnt" He answered, before presumingly going to clementine

Sensing the urgency in his voice, I ran down outside to the fence. As I approached the piled up fence, I locked eyes with the woman. The sudden urge to help  her overtook my senses. She began to run to the gate, the walkers ignoring her as she flew by them.

As I reached the gate, I opened it for her before quickly closing it behind her.

"Thanks Rick" The woman remarked, before taking a few deep breaths

"I'm sorry? Do I know you?" I asked very confused on who this stranger was

"Oh Rick, I havent been gone that long have I?" She said

As the words came out of her month my eyes began exploring trying to figure out who she was. The Black curly hair... Gray eyes... OH MY LORD

"Raven?" I questioned in shock, there's no way she survived that

"The  one and only, now where's my daughter? I just went through hell to find her... again" She expressed, looking around the fields trying to spot her little girl

As she did this I took in her appearance. Her body was completely covered in walker guts, her backpack looked filled to the brim with supplies, and her arm was gone. WAIT WHAT? HER ARM WAS GONE

"Raven, what happened to your arm?" I voiced, attracting the walkers even more and my group

"What's with all this noise- Raven?" Carol said, shocked by the woman

"Did someone say Raven?" Carl said, coming out of nowhere

One by one everyone came out of wherever they were due to the noise. Everyone had the same reaction... shock and happiness

"Y'know I would normally love all this attention but I need to see my little girl. Have any of yall seen her?" She questioned, looking past the  group that was crowing her and asking questions

"No, she hasn't been out of her room since we thought you passed. I just brought her some food and let her be." Carl expressed

"Raven, you should get your arm checked... What happened to you out there?" Michonne questioned,

If no one else noticed earlier... they sure did now. The new wave of questions started

"WHAT HAPPENED??"

"WERE YOU BIT?"

"DID YOU CHOP IT OFF BY YOURSELF?"

The more they asked, the more she walked away.

Raven's POV

As I walked through the doors of the cell block I was met with silence. The once lively cellblock she left from was now dead silent. The giggles of my daughter as she played with Bambi was only filled with my footsteps as I walked up to my cell. My bottom bunk was now disheveled along with my forgotten shirt. It looked as if clementine was cuddling it to sleep. My God, what have I put her through, I though to myself as I peered down at my little girl. She shouldn't have to go through this... again. As I sat down a knock sounded through my cell. As I glanced up, I was met with the familiar face of Hershel

"Rick asked me to check your arm... is that okay with you?" The kind man asked, before placing his supplies on the sick

"Sure, I cauterized the wound. It hurt like a bitch" I said, softly chuckling

"I imagine!" Herschel stated, unwrapping the horribly placed bandage.

"The stump was obviously badly burned and would need constant checking to make sure the infection didn't spread. Other then that I believe you'll be okay, it's a miracle you survived out there." He continued, wrapping my stump back up with better bandages.

"Thanks doc!" I said, grateful

As Herschel left, I was faced with another challenge. How does one survive once with one arm in a apocalypse? And the arm that was cut off was my right, which is my dominant hand.

I guess that's tomorrow problem, right now I just want Clementine.
