Anon request: Prompt: Finnick flirting with Annie (maybe in D13, as you wish).
It was lunch time and Finnick was holding two trays for himself and Annie Cresta. He hadn't stopped smiling since Annie had been rescued a week ago. To be honest, he didn't think he could stop. As he sat down and slid the tray over to Annie, he smirked and grabbed a sugar cube for the tea. "Want one?" he asked seductively, raising an eyebrow at Annie.
When Annie laughed, Finnick's heart squeezed. He had missed her laugh, her smile, her eyes...everything about her. Annie shook her head as she ate, "Eat, Finnick," she told him, though her eyes were shining.
Finnick pouted, staring at her, "Aw, fine. But only because you asked nicely," he dropped the sugar cube into the cup and stirred lightly and "accidentally" nudging the side of her stomach with his elbow. "Oops," he teased.
Annie smiled to herself and a minute later, she nudged him back, "Oops," she whispered, smirking at him. She had no idea why Finnick was doing this, but she was enjoying it.
Finnick grinned mischievously and kissed her neck, "Do you want to go somewhere after we eat?" he whispered, making Annie shiver and blush.
"Finn," Annie pushed him lightly, though she was trying not to laugh. "What are you doing?"
"What?" Finnick's eyes widened, feigning innocence. "I was just having a polite conversation with you," he smirked, his eyes flickering to her lips for a moment before going back up to her eyes.
Annie rolled her eyes, though she could feel him getting closer. "Don't people usually flirt when they're trying to get the other person to like them?" she folded her arms and raised an eyebrow.
Finnick blinked, confused by her sudden, direct question. "Errr...yes?" he grinned sheepishly, running a hand through his hair and refusing to break eye contact.
"Then why," Annie paused as she leaned forward, almost touching his nose, "Are you flirting with me if you know I already love you?" she whispered.
"Bec--" Finnick stopped as he realized what Annie had said. "You what now?" he smirked, closing the small gap between their noses and pressing their foreheads together.
"Finnick Odair, I love you," Annie wrapped her hands around his neck, "Thought you would have known that by now," she teased.
"I did. I just wanted to hear you say it," Finnick chuckled. He kissed her quickly and was about to kiss her again when he heard someone clear their throat.
"Well... that was a great show and all, but would you mind letting me eat without puking?" Johanna stared at the two lovebirds as they pulled away, blushing.
[This was a bit of a challenge, since I had no idea how exactly I would get two people that probably hadn't flirted with each other in forever, to actually flirt. But this was really fun! I really wanted to have Johanna in there somewhere, so I hope you liked it :P
Thanks so much for the prompt! I really really really REALLY enjoyed writing it! I saw the message at night and couldn't stop smiling! :D]
