How Far Can We Go?

Chapter 4

        "Yo, babe! Where is my little bro?"

        "Oh, will you stop torturing him!"

        "Hey sis, bro. What is cooking?"

        "My heart."        

        "Very funny Ems."

        
I thought I saw a sign somewhere between the lines.
Maybe it's me, maybe I only see what I want.
And I still have your letter just got caught between
Someone I just invented, who I really am and who I've become.

And now I do want you to know I hold you up above everyone.

And I'd be so good to you. Emily's phone sung out.

        "Hello?"

        "I'm coming for you!" Jack's voice numbed her to her bones.

        It had been three months since the phone call from Jack. She couldn't tell Zach everything seemed to be going so well, so everytime Emily thought of Jack she felt the need to protect Zach from Jackson.  Mike had been doing great in school, he had a girlfriend, and was healther than Emily ever remembered him being.

        "Emily, is it okay if I go to Mary's for a night or two?"

        "Go for a whole weekend if you want, I know you both are sensible. Though I still have to ask you wont be doing anyting inapproprate, will you?"

        "Ha, no we wont."        

        "Then I guess so. I wouldn't see why not." Emily had finished saying as Zach came in the room.

        "Hey did you te-"

        "I think you should go Mike. Now!" Emily was panicking she had faild to tell her little brother that soon he would be a uncle. He could wait for another month or so. She pushed her brother out before he could protest.

        "You weren't suppose to say anything!"

        "Emy, you can't wait forever! You have to tell him soon enough."

        "Well I want to wait untill I know for sure."

        "You do know for sure!!!!"

        "Just give me untill he comes back to plan how to brake it to him. I don't want to do it over the phone."

        "Fine. But Emily you have a weekend. You better start planning."

        "I will." They kissed, and Zack went to work. He worked a lot some people thought, but to them it was mere seconds. Emily watched TV, but was tired and drifted into a deep sleep.

        "I love you." The voice of Jack shoked her into the truth, he was there!!!!!

        "Go away!"

        "You love each other a lot I noticed. There wont be a us ever again will there?'

        "No therr wont because I am pregnet with Zach's child, not yours!"

        "Emily, I know your mad I would be surprised if you weren't-"

        "I am not mad. I just don't like you comeing in and out of my life all the time. It isn't good for the baby, or me. You not only effect me but you effect us all. Lily is dead because of you! You shouldn't have told us anything you should have stayed home. Go home again."
