"Really? Is it true?", dad asked,  surprised. I told them about the talent contest. Mom and Dad were shocked about the news. "Yes, Dad. It's true.".

Dad hugged me, very tight. "D-dad, can't b-breath", I said, the words hardly coming out of my mouth. Dad let go of me. Mother spoke. "Well, you better practice. Practice makes perfect.". "Yes, mother."

Irene squealed, jumping around the house. "My sis is gonna be famous! My sis is gonna be famous!", she kept on repeating.

*beep beep*

1 Message.

From: Lay

Where are you now?

Here at home. Mom and Dad knows about the talent show.

Good! :) Can you come to the park later 2:00 P.M. I want you to meet my friend who can help you.

Sure! I'll see you there!

Lay's POV

I need to rush to Chen's house. I must tell him that I need his help. "Mom, I'm leaving.", I said, exiting the house. "Sure. Be safe, Lay.".

I drove to Chen's house using my motorbike. I rang the doorbell. *ring ding dong *. Chen's mom greeted me with a smile."Oh. It's you, Lay. Please come in.", Chen's Mother said. "Thank you.", it's rude not to say thank you. "Is Chen around?", I asked politely. "He's in his room, listening to music or reading his books. I'll call him", she said, as I nodded.

Chen came downstairs, giving me a high-five. "Lay hyung! What brings you here?", Chen asked. "I need your help. My friend has entered a talent contest, and I need you to help her since you're one of the best singers in EXO", I said. Chen nodded. "Of course. I will help anyone who is a friend of my friend. Is she pretty?".

I smacked him in the head. He groaned in pain.

"Thank you, Chen. We will meet 2 P.M. at the park.", I said. "Oww, that hurt hyung. Okay. What's the time now?", he asked, rubbing his head.

"2:15. Shoot! We need to go now!".

Krystal's POV.

I went to the park to find that Lay was not here yet. I sat on a bench near the fountain. I plugged into my earphones and listened to Seventeen's "Adore U".

"Krystal!". I plugged off my earphones as soon as I heard Lay's voice.

"Oh, Hi Lay!", I said, waving at him. He was holding a guy's hand. Seems to be his friend. "Krystal, I would like you to meet Chen.", he said, introducing his friend.

"You're pretty", he said. What the? Lay smacked him in the head. Chen rubbed his head. "Oww hyung. That's the second time already". Hehe. Chen seems like a funny guy.

"Nice to meet you, Chen.", I said as I held out my hand."Likewise, Krystal.", he said, shaking it. The three of us headed to the Bubble Tea Shop where me and Alexander went. The three of us sat by a nearby window. "Welcome to the Bubble Tea Shop. May I take your orders?",  the waitress asked politely.

"I'll have chocolate.", - Chen
"I'll have vanilla.",- Lay
"I'll have winter melon.", - You
"Your orders will be served in a minute.",- Waitress

"So, Krystal. What will you perform at the contest?", Chen asked, curiously.

"To be honest, I don't know yet", I said, feeling unconfident.

"What if you'll sing? After all, you have a nice voice", Lay said, complimenting me. "Sure, I can do that. Thank you, Lay.". 

"Well that's easy. You pick a song, practice it for days, and you'll be shining like a diamond", Chen said, his voice full of determination.

The waitress arrived with our orders.

"Thanks Chen. I appreciate the advice. Such words coming from a guy like you", I said, taking a sip from my bubble tea. "Why, of course! I'm one of the best singers on campus!", he said, boldly.

"Yeah. When he sings, he sings as if he was a dinosaur who stepped on a nail", he said, laughing. Chen pouted. "Ahh, hyung! Why you so mean~", he said, trying to act cute. "What? It's the truth?", Lay replied.

The three of us laughed.

Maybe I won't be so nervous after all.
