(3rd POV)
It was a cloudy day, grey and glum, rain is soon to come.
Still like clockwork the Ericsson kids some now on the verge of their twenties rise from their beds to get to their daily routines.
Louis rises from his bed stretching his limbs wide earning a few satisfying pops from his joints in return.
Violet groans seeing the dim light turning wishing to sleep more before letting out a feeble sigh before reaching for her eye patch.
Ruby and Aasim the groups lovebirds lean up in their shared bed yawning from a good nights rest sharing a content good morning with each other before ready for the day ahead.
Willie groans sprawled out on his bed tired from last nights "adventure" before dangling his legs off the side of his bed to stand up.
Aj the early riser adjusts his cap before collecting his shiv and gun putting them both in his pants before carefully walking to the door as not to disturb his guardian from her quiet dreams, her crutches leaning on the dresser at the head of the bed ever stagnant in the room.
Clementine listens as Aj leaves the room, the door clicking closed signals a depressed sigh, her thoughts betray her as she stares at the bland rotting wall in front of her. Ever since she lost her leg she felt like a burden to the group. To her she was useless, she could hunt, climb, defend against walkers... or people; all the important things she could no longer do even with the little stump that the group suppressed her with three months ago.
After some time Clem rises and whistles for Rosie to leave the room. Crutches under her arms she makes her way to the court yard looking up at the clouds a frown growing at her face.
"Good mornin'." Ruby draws out drawing Clems attention a small smile replacing the frown from before.
"Morning Ruby." She replies the two set off for the table making small talk and talking about whose doing what today.
"Louis and Aasim are going hunting, I figured me and you could tend to the greenhouse and take count of the medicine and food; Willie has watch, and Aj and Vi can go fishing." Clem listens to Ruby nodding in approval Ruby's plans for today.
Arriving at the picnic table bowls layed out in front of them all of the others already chatting and enjoying their stew that Omar had prepared early in the morning.
Ruby parts from Clem to join her boyfriend at the picnic table while Clem sits across in between Louis and Violet both who were sharing playful quips to one another until Clem sat between them.
"Another glum day?" Louis sighs out rolling his eyes while looking at the sky; turning to Clem he offers a greeting wide smile to her which sparks one of her own. She enjoyed his company more than she thinks she should.
"This weather always makes me want to sleep." Violet trudges out her scared face being propped up by her left arm. Clem looks at her seeing the boredom painted on her face.
"Well let's just hope that the rain holds back until we get down with all of our chores." Clem reply's taking a bite of her stew watching the meat and veggies slosh around in the bowl.
"Why so glum Vi don't let the day put a frown on that face." Louis teases making Violet do a full eye roll in response while letting out a groan.
"After all these years I still find you annoying." Violet reply's glaring her one blue eye at the dreaded head.
"So down Vi don't be a stick in the mud." Louis speaks out a pun earning a very dry glare from the girl in question.
"We still have stuff that needs to get done Vi, and besides you don't have much to do today. All you have to do is go fishing." Ruby speaks up making the blonde pump her fist in support of that.
