In a white bed lad a certain boy. He turned on his side and started murmuring in his sleep. He clenched and un clenched his fist. What could this boy possible be dreaming? Maybe we may never find out.
Some time past as the boy kept on dreaming. Sometimes he would mumble. Other times he would cry silently. And then the rest of the time he whispered "I'm sorry". The frozen tears would sometimes slip out of the corner of his eyes.
In corner, a shadow in the shape of a human watched him silently. Glowing golden eyes analyzed every breath of his. It stayed hidden. "Jack. What happened to you?" a voice that seemed to have an endless amount of blackness in it. "What happened to the Jack who held hope within those eyes? Have you lost yourself already?" the voice softly whispered. "Don't leave me alone. Not now." the voice begged. The shadow started to sink into the floor like water seeping into cracks.

Claus watched the frozen door with worry in his eye. He sighed and put his head in his hand. Soft wings could be heard fluttering towards him. "Claus. Go and sleep. I'll watch over. You need to rest. Besides, Bunny will be here in a minute." said Tooth putting her hand on his shoulder. Claus looked up at her and gave a small smile. Beneath his eyes were dark bags. "You're right Tooth. Then I'll go take some rest. Wake me up if anything happens." said Claus. He sluggishly walked off to the direction of his bedroom. Tooth smiled and sat in the chair that Claus was in a moment ago. She stared at the door with anticaption. Jack has been asleep for almost 4 days now. Claus has been up for those past days, refusing to leave the door. Jack. Please be alright. Tooth thought. Right at that second, a hole opened up in the ground and out came a tall bunny. "Oh, Bunny you're here. Claus just went to get some shut eye. What have you been doing?" Tooth asked with interest. "Researching mate." Bunny stated as he sat in the chair on the other side of Tooth. "Researching? About what?" Tooth asked confused. "About the 2012 war. Went to the other spirits to see if they knew anything at all." Bunny replied. Tooth still gazed at him with the confusion written on her face. "Bunny, all the spirits know about the war. How can they not? We lost some very important children, their beliefs and their hopes. I don't see the reason why you would research about it." Bunny leaned forward and placed his clamped hands on his knees. "I was asking if any of them knew what Jack saw. Jack never speaks about what he saw. Ever since that happened, he shut himself off from us. We need to learn more about him." Tooth's face contracted into understanding, but then her face fell into sadness. "After 80 years, you think we know him from the back of our hand, but we actually don't know anything about him. What have we been doing these past years, Bunny? He needs our help yet we can't provide it. I feel so useless. Why can't I help him?" Tooth started to cry. Bunny wrapped his arms around her, shushing comforting words in her ear. "Tooth, it's not your fault. Its them who are to blame. Not you." said Bunny. They stayed like that, unaware of Claus standing in the shadows of the wall. He looked down in sadness. In truth, all the Guardians felt like it was their fault that Jack was the way he is now. They regretted all the crazy fights they had with him, saying that they should never trust him, it was his fault for certain things, telling him the way he had fun with kids was dangerous. They were constantly breathing down his neck. Maybe he snapped under pressure? Then that proves it was their fault. Claus slid down the wall he was leaning against, sat down, and started to cry. Bunny, being a bunny, picked up Claus crying and he felt the fiery tears come to his eyes. Tonight was going to be a long night.
