The girls were gathered in the middle of the living room in their dorms. Well, the girls and a guy. All were feeling a surge of mixed emotions.

Some were sad, some were anxious and scared and someone was happy that they all have come so far. Why were they sad?

It was the day that Hirai Momo got eliminated from sixteen. The members wondered why it happened. Specially when Momo is one of the best on the competition.

Sana and Mina took it harder than the others. They shared a connection that only the three of them had.

While the two were missing their friend's departure, the others were anxious and scared at how the competition will turn out. They saw that even the best could get eliminated.

And the person that was happy was none other than (Y/n). He's another trainee from JYP.

"Cheer up, Mina-ssi, Sana-ssi! I'm sure Momo would be more than happy if you're one of the girls who'll debut soon. Make her proud?"
said (Y/n)

"We will... Thank you (Y/n)"
Sana replied as she wiped her tears away, Mina doing the same as they snuffled.

"What are you doing here anyway (Y/n)? You could get in trouble!"
Jihyo scolded as the three finished talking

"I figured that all of you needed a friend. You know, after... And I also think that you girls must be nervous, the drafting is near right?"
The male trainee asked as the girls nodded

"You can vent to me about how you feel. Not gonna lie, these days are going to be nerve-racking."
He smiled, to which the others reciprocated the action.

And that's how their night went. The girls were ranting and some were asking tips on how they could improve more. They ate, they talked and they laughed.

That's how things were back then. Of course (Y/n) also has training, but he always spares time for the girls. They were drained every day and he swore to be their pillar.

And so, when the final episode happened,  he was there among the audience. Cheering for each of them. When JYP announced who the final member was going to be, he jumped up in his seat cheering them on loudly.

Hell even his seat-mate was looking at him like he was a crazy person. But he couldn't help it. Momo was back! Twice is formed! And he couldn't be more proud.

The girls hugged each other with tears streaming down their faces. (Y/n) clapped even when the others finished, he didn't even notice that he too was crying.

Their hangouts rarely happened anymore. The girls were busy preparing for their comeback and he understood that. Their schedule was packed with practice, photoshoots and promotional stunts that they needed to do.

When their comeback was aired, Twice was instantly loved by many. Their popularity sky rocketed and everyone was ecstatic with the news. Of course it also meant more songs to be made and other things needed for another performance.
