"It's the new year, any wishes?" Ryan asked as the fireworks kept exploding everywhere around the night sky, "didn't i tell you on the day we met? I wanted to go to Stanford" she answered as the both of them walked around the beach, her thick red scarf wrapped around tightly around her neck,Holding her purse firmly as Ryan shoved his hands inside his coat's pockets.
"Theres another one, but i don't want to tell you" she said shyly looking down as Ryan quickly blocked her way infront of her, "Tell me pleease? I want to know!" She smiled smiled and exhaled softly, as they both continued walking, "i want to have a unique wedding in a church, different from anyone else's"
"Alright, i can make that happen!" He said confidently, "what do you have to do with it?" She looked up to him as they stopped again, "what about you? Whats your new year's wish?" Ryan thought about it for awhile as he bit his lip, "i want to take you somewhere, where there's just the two of us" Adley shook her head and laughed at his level of cheesiness.
Fireworks kept playing in the background, right at this moment the whole sky was covered with colorful fireworks and lights. "It's so beautiful! I want to take a picture" she exclaimed, pointing out to the sky as she didn't realize that ryan left her alone when she was busy admiring the fireworks around her.
Ryan ran towards her with an unfamiliar polaroid camera in his hands, "Hurry up! Take it!" He bursted, running out of breath as he raised the camera up facing them, taking the picture perfectly catching all the fireworks behind them, Adley took the polaroid and smiled, shaking the photo to reveal the picture, "You robber! You took my camera!" They both looked back as Ryan panicked, quickly nudged Adley to run away infront of him, "Go go go go!"
He grabbed her hands as they ran all the way to the shore, "Well thats that" Adley said, while they were still running. "Be my boyfriend"
Ryan's attention quickly threwn all the way to her, "Wait, Really?", "but under one conditon" Adley mumbled, running out of breath. "You can only be my boyfriend for five minutes each day"
Ryan stood there with a long face, "What kind of trick are you playing?", "give you more than that and you'll take it for granted", "well when can i have more?!" Ryan raised his voice, "After you pass the College English test 4"
"Why?", "because if you don't pass, you won't be able to graduate" she cracked up a grin at the end as Ryan did the same, until the both realized that they were still being chased. "Stop!"
Ryan put the camera in the sands behind him as he grabbed Adley once again to run away, "HERE TAKE IT!"

December 31 2009, Friday.
Wait,
it's already January 1 2010, Saturday.
The upcoming CET-4 was getting on their nerves, so they decided to go somewhere quiet to study for it.
They were sitting in the bedroom, ryan on one bed and Adley on another, looking down for abit before ryan stripped away from his coat and shirt, leaving him in his tank top.
There was a complete silence before Adley spoke up, "Babe"
"Excuse me?"
"from now on, during the five minutes when you are my boyfriend, i will call you babe" she said shyly, blushing as she looked down to the floor, "and nobody else can call you that"
Ryan smirked at her words and slowly approaching her, sitting beside her bed and crossed his legs, awkardly sitting there in silence before he decided to make his moves. He slowly put his arms around her, taking her scarf off before Adley interrupted, "babe?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you like me?", he laughed softly at her, "don't you know the answer after so many years?" She kept her mouth shut as Ryan continued taking off her scarf, "babe?" She called once again, "yeah?"
"Look at you, all covered in sand, why don't you go wash it off?"
"Fine, i'll go!" He exclaimed as he pulled her scarf to his direction trying to get it off as she pulled it away from him, "what now?" He said, with a hint of dissapointment in his voice
She sighed, "judging from your performance so far, five minutes is the right ammount" he sat there still in silence
"You have four minutes left" she faced him at last, showing four fingers on her hands as Ryan gasped, quickly getting up, "shit!" He did everything as fast as he could, he pulled his tank top off and jumping up and down trying to tug his jeans off as Adley was just laughing satisfically, he ran in the bathroom as his eyes were glued on the clock looking back and forth.
He quickly applied some toothpaste on his toothbrush, brushing his teeth in all direction he could ever think of, then scrubbing his body with soap and some shampoo in his hair, in the speed like he never done in before, he didn't even bother to dry off his body because of the time and just covered his lower half as fast as he could, resulting almost every body part of him was soaking wet, opening the bathroom door to step back to the bedroom.
Beep Beep
Adley hummed as she took her wrist down after checking the time, "Mr. Higa, let's go over the vocabulary for the CET-4" she raised up her book, "do you know what the first word is? Abandon. It means to give up" she laughed at Ryan's priceless face, just standing there half naked with pouting face and his whole body wet.
He felt like an airplane is crashing down and exploded right beside them, "let's turn to page 21" Adley said easily as she opened her book, Ryan was just digging his head in his arms
"Let's read the first word" she shrugged, "will power, restraint, be neither arrogant or too humble, neither pushy or anxious. That shows a man is responsible. Love does not always mean possessiveness." Ryan thought.
"Speaking as someone with experience, i hereby advise you. You guys are like blossoms about to wither. So put your study above everything else" he kept getting distracted by his brain thinking about crap, he just felt like the room is slolwy turning upside down, spinning around.
