I wanted to ran after Mew but I couldn't leave his sorrowful worried parents alone, I was shocked hearing all that, I never could imagine for things to turn this way, it's so sudden that my mind is hardly keeping up with it

"please Gulf, you are the closest to our son now so please take care of him" his mother said

"P' Mew is very strong and smart, he is an amazing detective so it will be fine, he just needs some time to come in terms with this secret"

"we know how hard he worked to be a detective but his older brother is..."

"I understand but he is not alone, he also has wonderful teammates and many good people around him so don't worry, you also need to be extra careful"

"hearing that makes me a little relieved, I'm glad my son is not alone"

"please take care of Mew" his father begged stunning me, they really love Mew a lot they just didn't know how to express themselves because of what happened to their first son, I smiled softly

"I promise I will" after seeing them off I ran to be by Mew's side, I found him laying by the edge of the bed with the paper in his hand, I started gently caressing his hair, he held my hand neither of us uttering a word, what Mew needs now is someone he trust by his side

"I'm so thankful you are here with me now"

"aren't you scared? We are dealing with a psychopath this time"

"I'm scared that he may hurt you and take you away from me" he kissed my fingers so tenderly making me blush a little

"you are the pure light in my life so please keep shining by my side and I will protect you"

"let me also protect you so we could live happily together after dealing with this case" he finally smiled and moved his body laying on my lap

"I will accept and deal with any side effect as long as you are with me"

"side effect?" I was confused but he simply smiled and pulled me for a kiss.

We told Mew's team everything who were ready to help him, they started searching about the older brother getting all info about him, I wanted to stay with Mew all the time but he pushed me to go to uni since he will be at the police station all day any way

They couldn't find his whereabouts or any additional info to what Mew's parents told us, when I first saw his picture I was surprised at how similar they looked, we were on guard for two weeks not going out on weekends and being extra careful yet I couldn't help but be concerned, it felt somehow unnaturally peaceful, I kept having a bad feelings always double checking if the house is locked before going to sleep, until I finally discovered the source of that lingering bad feeling

"P' Mew, I'm sorry I messed up" I said slowly entering his room

"what do you mean?"

"I didn't know how this happened, do you remember the hoodie I wore for the previous mission, that night when I had to go back by train? I kept it aside for a while until today, I found this small thing in the back cap of the shirt, it's tracker isn't it?" I asked handing it to him, he stared at it shocked, he kept silent for a moment

"it's that employee, he slipped in when walking back with you and my intuition tell me my brother told him to do it"

"I also have a feeling that he noticed that I was close to you and since he couldn't get near you he used that employee, he must have been searching for your place but since you were always careful going back home he..."
