-First day of school-

I wake up to my alarm , thinking about the day Thats ahead of me . First day of school. Well, at a new school.

My parents move a lot so i never get the chance to fit in and make friends, not that I want any.

I get up and sit on the end of my bed for 10 minutes straight, just looking at the floor. realizing I need to get up I start to head for the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth.

After all of that I go to my closet and try to decide on what to put on . I decided on a white crop , plaid jacket and jeans.

Something simple I guess. I look good though. I get my phone to call my one and only friend , rose .

Me and her have been friends since kindergarten and we convinced her mom to let her switch schools with me .

I FaceTime rose and tell her that I'll be picking her up in 20 minutes. I go downstairs to see my mom and dad, sitting at the table with coffee. "

good morning mom and dad" I say ask I give them hugs. " good morning lani " my dad says. " are you excited dear ? " mom says . " yeah mom" I say with a slight smile.

" I gotta go though " " you haven't eaten anything yet " mom says . " don't worry , me and rose are gonna pick up something on the way there ." I bid. 

" ok dear, be safe " she says as she smuggles me in hugs and kisses. " I love you guys, byee" I say as I leave out the front door .

The drive to roses house isn't far so I arrive quickly. Rose is just now coming out the door as I pull up . Her outfit is very cute as well and we both decided to wear plaid today.

" heyyyyy girl" she screams . " hiiiiii" I reply as I give her a hug. " I haven't eaten yet " she says with a frown .

" me either. McDonald's?" " yessss" she says . We go pick up some food and eat it on the way there . After we finish, we get to school.

" I'm kinda scared " we say at the same time and then laugh. " it's gonna be fun" she says and then we get out of the car with our stuff. Ready to face the day .

The whole front of the school is filled with students. We have about 15 minutes until class so me and rose go sit in the library, already having our schedules.

We have 7 classes each , but only 4 of them are together . It comes time to go to our first class . We walk in and take seats in the middle of the class.

I'm looking at my books when suddenly I hear a deep husky voice. " may I sit here " a guy asked me . " sure ." I say with a friendly smile.

We talked for a bit and I learn that his name is jaylin. Jaylin teal .

After class rose goes to her next one while I have a free period and go to the library. Soon after I sit down , Jaylin and his friend sit next to me.

I put my nose father into the book.
"Hey, leilani right?" " yeah , hey" I say while making slight eye contact. We hold it for longer then we should have until his
Friend breaks the silence.

" I'm Dj " he says" nice to meet you " I say looking at my book. " would you put the book down? We are trying to have a conversation with you " Jaylin says while laughing.

I put the book down with a sarcastic smile on my face ."well what do y'all want ?"

" your new here right?" Dj says . " yep" I say
"Well Jaylin can show you around sometime "
I look at Jaylin. " sure ." Right on time rose comes and sit down . Thank god .

" hey lani " She says with confusion on her face." hey.." ." this is Jaylin and Dj " I say . " nice to meet y'all, I'm rose. "

she says while keeping eye contact with Dj far to long . " we should all hang out " Dj says . " I'm down with that " Jaylin says . " sure " me and rose say.

We exchanged numbers and then head to class.
After school I drop rose off and head home . I do some work, take a shower then head to bed.
