Chapter 3: After Diagon Ally

I was waiting outside of Ollivander's for about 10 minutes. Until mother and father came to pick me up. And they suprised me with a owl, a brown one with little white spots. "For me!" I squealed. "Yes just to motivate you, and your mother wants to keep in touch with you, and just for me to check if you did make Slytherin" my father said. I ended up naming my owl Armin (defo not a aot reference). Oh, did I not tell you that for generations of Silvian's we have always been in Slytherin.

   Over the course of a couple of weeks father was aching and nagging for me to make Slytherin. Not to say he was a supporter of You-know-who aswell, which is why my father says that I'll fit right in the Slytherins.

     And when I was sleeping at night the dream of a couple nights before came back. "Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy, Warty, Hogwarts teach us something please wheather we be old and bald or young with scabby knees-" the song faded into an end. Then i saw a red jewel and someone was laughing evilly. Then the dream ended, yet again. I was awoken by the house elves, and they already started making breakfast.

   "Oh Alex, my dear" my mother called. When I heard my mother's voice, I got up and looked at the clock that read 1:00 pm, so I changed into a red dress, red was the Silvian's prime color. Which is a coincidence because Gryfindor colors are red and everyone in my family has been in Slytherin since the 14th century. Then I snapped out of my thoughts, remembering that there was exactly a month to go until I arrive at Hogwarts, since it was August 1st.

I was at the table eating breakfast until out of nowhere I heard a knock at the door and I saw a girl with blonde hair and one with brown. "Cyrus! I wasn't expecting you here" my father said. "We talked about this a few weeks ago" Mr. Greengrass said reassuringly.

       My father and Mr. Greengrass we're talking for what felt like hours. And I kept on looking at the blonde haired girl. Looked quite nice, until she looked up at me and said "My name is Daphne, what's yours?". "Uh my name is Alex, Alexandra" I said nervously. "I'm sure your parents want you to get in Slytherin ,too", she added.  I nodded my head as a response, then I asked "what house would you rather be in?, I'd rather be in Gryffindor". She shrugged her shoulders unknowingly, I looked at her worried. We were being pressured to be in this house, to be in Slytherin. When we didn't even want to be in Slytherin, well at least i didn't.

      It was 11:00pm at night when I heard, "Well, Jacob we must get going, c'mon Daphne, Astoria". When they left Daphne looked at me and said "I'll see you soon", then she turned back around and smiled at me one last time.

  I smiled back and thought "see you soon Daphne Greengrass".
