Jade and Remus Lupin, age eleven, stood on Platform 9 3/4 with their parent's Hope and Lyall Lupin for the first time.

Hope, a muggle, was smothering Jade in hugs after passing Remus off to her husband.

"Mum, we have to go. We are going to be late," the young boy with light brown hair chuckled.

Hope sighed and let go of the blonde haired girl. "Well both of you be good, have fun, and write to us when you've been sorted!"

Lyall smiled in agreement with his wife, giving his son one last hug, and acknowledging his daughter by a nod of his head to which she returned.

"Oh! And make sure you rest! I know you guys are tired. It's in a few days." Hope lowered her voice and slightly furrowed her eyebrows in concern.

A whistle sounded from the scarlet train, warning the families that it would be departing soon.

"We've got to go! Love you guys! See you at Christmas!" Jade called as she grabbed her brother's hand.

The twins made their way onto the train, shuffling with their personal bags (their large trunks having been put under the train before they boarded) down the hallway and walking to the very last compartment.

Inside were three boys: one with messy, dark brown hair and round glasses, one with black hair that looks as though he spent an hour perfecting it, and a short one with a mouse-like face stuffed with sweets from the trolley.

"Do you guys mind if we sit here? All the other's are full" Jade looked around at them.

"Of course! I'm James Potter! This here is Sirius Black and that's Peter Pettigrew!" The boy now known as James exclaimed with loud enthusiasm.

"I'm Remus Lupin and this is my twin, Jade" He smiled as the two of them entered, Remus sitting next to Peter, and Jade on his other side, across from Sirius.

The five of them talked for the whole train ride about anything that came to mind; houses, family, classes.

Jade and Remus even explained different muggle inventions to Sirius and James, who, as purebloods, weren't as educated in that area.

The five of them looked around in awe as they approached the school on small boats. The beautiful castle seemed almost unreal. Too good to be true.

The five of them were laughing and joking around their whole way  into the castle. In the little time that they had known each other, they already seemed like best friends.

Almost like they had known each other since birth.

They were silenced when a strict woman with green robes approached the group. She explained to them the four houses, house points, and the sorting.

Before long all of the first years stood at the front of the hall, waiting to be sorted.

"Lupin, Jade!"

Jade nervously made her way to the stool, the large, scrappy hat falling over her eyes.

"GRYFFINDOR!"

Welcome to my new story! I hope you guys enjoy!

I actually looked up the full moon in September of 1971 to see if it would be nearby, and it was on September 4th!

Anyway, please leave your thoughts, comments, concerns.

I should have a book cover being made in the near future, so please ignore the boring one for now.

Have a great day!
