"you did good today. i can't believe we're going to the state finals!" i say, still amazed. "i know! it's against Hawks though...." Adam looks at his feet. i stop walking and turn to him. i grab his shoulders, "Adam, i promise, it's going to be fine. i'll just bust their faces again." i smile innocently. "you're scary, ya know that?" Adam smiles while looking at me. "it's what i do best." i smile again, while grabbing his hand. we continue to walk, "where are we going?" i ask. "my house, you can meet my parents" Adam answers. i get nervous.

what if they don't like me? what if they think i'm not cute enough for him? what if they think i'm not polite enough? do i stink? do i look good? are my clothes okay? is my hair a mess? what if they think i'm not good enough? what if they hate me? am i still sweaty from practice?

thoughts race through my head and Adam notices. "they'll love you, i promise." Adam looks at me while squeezing my hand lightly. i nod and plaster a smile across my face. Adam starts to skip so i do the same, us skipping together on the sidewalk whilst swinging our arms.

we arrive at Adams house and he walks through the door, me following. i take my shoes off at the door and set them up neatly, trying to make a good impression. Adam smirks at my change of personality. i notice Adams mother standing in the kitchen, cutting up some apples. we're still holding hands so he leads me to the kitchen and closer to his mother. "mom, this is Olivia." Adam introduces me. "oh my gosh!" she exclaims, drying her hands off. she pulls me into a hug, gluing my arms down to my side. so, sadly, i can't hug back. "i'm Molly, Adams mom. Adam always talks about you! he never stops, Olivia, Olivia, Olivia!" Adams mom laughs and Adam stands there awkwardly. "you are pretty! just like he said you were!" Molly compliments. "thank you! i love your hair!" i compliment back, looking at her shiny blonde locks that fall just beneath her shoulders. "thank you, darling. so kind!" Molly says, turning to Adam.

"we're gonna go upstairs, mom. we'll see you later" Adam says to his mom while grabbing my arm, his mom nodding and smiling at me one last time before continuing with her apple cutting.

Adam leads me into his huge room and i flop on his bed, releasing a breath that i didn't even know i was holding. i look around,

man, this is nice. rich people stuff, i guess.

"so, you said i was pretty, and you talk about me?!" i tease. he blushes, "shut up. of corse i do, you're perfect!" he admits, laying next to me as we both look at the ceiling. "you're not so bad yourself, cake eater." i smile.

we're talking about random things, when the overthinking suddenly kicks in. "Adam?" i ask, standing up. "yeah?" he replies. "i think you deserve better. i mean, look at all this stuff. you're so rich and your family is so perfect, and i don't even have a dad and me, Charlie, and our mom live in an apartment and-" i start to rant. he cups my face, "Olivia. don't ever think that. i don't care about any of that. you are you, and you're Olivia Conway and you're perfect just the way you are."

i tear up at his extremely nice words and smile brightly. i tackle him into a hug and squeeze his torso. he hugs me back as i dig my face into his shoulder. "and i love you so much." he says softly. "i love you more." i reply. i fall onto his bed again, "so, Banksie, you wanna go on a walk?" i ask, pulling him down onto the bed next to me. "sure!" he answers, looking at me.

oh my god, he's so cute.

"you're so cute." i smile at him. he blushes, "why thank you, miss Conway. or should i say miss Banks?" he wonders and i laugh, sitting up off the bed and grabbing his hand.

we make our way downstairs and i see an older boy talking to Molly. "oh, hey Brax!" Adam welcomes the boy. "hey, little brother. who is this?" the boy asks, gesturing to me. "hi, i'm Olivia Conway. i play hockey with him." i introduce myself. "ohhhhh, Adam's girlfriend! you don't have to hide it, he talks about you all the time." Adam's brother tells me and i smile, seeing Adam blush out of the corner of my eye. he walks towards me and shakes my hand, "I'm Braxton Banks, Adam's big brother." he introduces himself, ruffling Adam's hair to which he gives him a sour look and straightens it back down. i then realize he's wearing a Hawks hoodie, that looks a little tight on him. he must've been a Hawk when he played peewees, and that's why Adam was one. i nod with a smile, trying to look neat and polite, and trying to make the best impression possible on the rich and wealthy family. i mean, it was my boyfriend's family, for gods sake! of corse i wanted them to like me.

"well, we're going on a walk, so, see ya later guys!" Adam dismissed us and we walk out of the front door. "so, seems like you talk about me a lot, huh?" i tease and he playfully hits my shoulder. "be quiet, puck girl" he replies sourly, but with a smile.

we start on our walk, talking about random things, once again. we had found a near corner store so we bought some candy and two waters, and some other things. i wondered what Guy and Connie were doing, since Connie wouldn't shut up about her and her blondie.

we walked and talked for a few hours until we decided to go our separate ways, or to dumb it down to some people's level, we decided to go back home to our own houses.

i was walking home, drinking my monster that i begged for Adam to let me get at the corner store. i promised i'd pay for it, and i did. i was making mental notes on how the different ones tasted, and ranking the different flavors of the coffee to my liking, when i arrived at my apartment. i walked inside, and looked at the clock that was hanging on the wall.

5:48pm.

i read before sprinting up the steps, and walking into my home, greeted by the smell of chicken, along with coach, mom, and Charlie. i sit my Ducks jersey down neatly down on the couch, seeing the
