Chapter 12 (Death pt. 2)

|Winston POV|

The girl had finally awoken. It had been 18 hours... "where..am I?" I smiled at her. "Marsha Kikimoki, would you like to work for our lord Olympia?" She stared at me for a second. "I would love to...they aren't the brightest people..." she giggled. I helped her stand up. She was about my height. Maybe a few months older than me...she was very...pretty though... "shall we go? Uh- wait..what's your name?" I let go of her hand. I didn't want to though..it was warm and made me feel safe... "uh- Winston. Winston Lake" she nodded and walked out of the room. I watched her for a minute getting the butterflies out of the stomach before following right behind her.

|Joshua POV|

"Everyone, protect the kingdom!  There's not many left- what the..."

there were so many...I just wanted this day to be over...I'm so tired... "where are you going? This isn't over you little rat...!" I ran over to a demon holding one of the guards to the ground. They started ripping there limbs off. I kicked them off of the guard and turned to see it was Kyle..my best friend...the friend that stayed by my side...the one person truly I loved...

"This way, Josh!" I ran behind Kyle. It was our first day of preschool. I had butterflies in my stomach standing next to him in line. I had a feeling this was gonna be the best day ever!

"alright everybody! Pick a partner and get to work!" I looked at Kyle. He was sitting across from me at the table. "Hey, Kyle? Wanna be my partner for the ABC's project?" Kyle smiled. "Yeah! We're gonna do better than everybody else!" Kyle had always been competitive..but he wanted to be competitive with me winning against everyone else...that made me happy...

"Kyle Stars and Joshua Richards, you have passed the ABC's project!" The class clapped for us. He looked at me and smiled. I felt more butterflies. I smiled back at him. He was my best friend after all!

I carried Kyle to the safety center. Queen Jayden had some of the guards go outside and deal with the demons while doctors took Kyle to heal him. "Joshua, thank you.." I wanted to take the Queens thanks but...something didn't make me feel okay that they were taking Kyle...like I wasn't gonna see him again.... "I'm sorry about Kyle... but please, we need you out there..." I nodded. It felt...wrong leaving the place...

I found out that Kyle had died a few hours later...

"JOSHUA- LOOK OUT!"

I turned. Something hit my head staying into my skull. I don't know what it was...I fell to the ground and laid there...my body was moved but I didn't know where we were going...

"Joshua...please stay strong for everybody.."

"K-Kyle...?"

|Madam Elliot POV|

I gracefully walked into Olympia's palace. It was gorgeous if I must say so myself! It was a little to black for my liking but still beautiful nonetheless... "Ellie? What are you doing here..?" It was Sophia. She looked beautiful now. When she was younger she was a...Rat.... "hello, Sophie..where is Olly?" Sophia thought for a moment. "She's coming home now I believe. Would you like to wait to see her? I nodded. I would like it to be quicker but..whatever...I sat down and watched Sophia do some paperwork. "Is that all you do here Sophie? Paperwork?" Sophia looked at me and nodded. "It's my job after all, Ellie! Olly wants me to make sure there's nothing that could get us a lawsuit! Even if there is a lawsuit to be held!" She giggled. God, her giggling was annoying. "Sophie, doesn't it get...I don't know...tiring..?" Sophia shook her head keeping her eyes on the paper. "It's fun actually Ellie!" She was stupid. "Sophia, why is she here..?" Olympia walked in. I stood up from my
Seat. "O-oh.. did you not want her to be allowed inside master? I'm sorry! I'll have her leave right away-!" "No. She's fine..it's just been awhile, hasn't it Ellie?" I nodded. "Of course Olly. How have you been darling?" She laughed. "Fantastic, dear! And how about you?" I rolled my eyes. "Those angels are stupid! But I've been okay myself." We laughed and caught up for a few minutes before getting down to business. "Olly, real talk, why are you killing all of these people? They haven't done anything to you? What would Parker say?" She stopped talking. "Parker would be disappointed I didn't listen to him...but I promised nobody was to be left alive if he died first.." I sighed. "Parker was a fool to date you" "WE DON'T TALK ABOUT PARKER.." I nodded. She was mad I brought him up... "there all going to die now...Ellie...Leave NOW." I nodded leaving the castle and going home. She was furious....

|Olympia POV|

We made a promise not to bring up Parker ever again after he died...we promised...Sophie promised, Max promised and Elliot promised...we all agreed to never talk about Parker unless it was necessary... and Elliot used Parker to her advantage.... I smashed a wall with my anger. "She thinks she's so clever...well Elliot...it won't be clever once your dead again..." I laughed at Sophia watched me...she seemed...scared...

|Marshy POV|

The boy I met...Winston...he watched me funny...it didn't concern me just...it was strange... "Winston?" He nodded. "Where is your human now..?" He looked to the ground. "I was never given a human." I looked at him. He looked ashamed. "Maybe your human died in birth..? That's said to happen-!" "No...I was told they died a week before there 5th birthday..it was to late..they lived there life and died at a young age... they could've had so many fun adventures though..!" Winston laughed and stopped. "But we never did..." he seemed sad. That made me sad. I tried to push that thought away as I snipped the connection between the inner demon realm and the...other realm. "WH-WHAT DID YOU DO...? WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!" I giggled. "We don't need to go there anymore if we snip it, correct?" He shook his head. "We still need to go there!" I laughed and took his hand. "Fix the portal up then!" He look confused but did what I told him to do. "Well..what now?"

I smiled.

"Now, we save the world."

|KoKoYo POV|

I kicked the dirt outside. The sky was white. I felt like I had been walking for days when it was only a few hours... I fell on my face getting tired of walking. "KoKoYo? What are you doing baby boy?" I looked up. It was mama. "Ma-mama? But..your dead.." I tried to run into her arms but she was already gone.. it was just a daydream...a vision...I'm so tired and thirsty...I want my friend back...he was nice!....I fell on the ground again but didn't stand up. I was so tired...

|Jayden POV|

I let Journey sleep as I went to the main area to see what everyone was doing. If they were slacking off I was supposed to send them out to the battle field. I didn't want to... "Your majesty! Kyle's heart monitor failed..another guard is down.." I sighed. Our best even lost...I felt bad for Joshua..he cared so much for Kyle.. "that makes...29 guards dead... Felix, take Samantha and go out there. I'm sorry but I have no choice at this point." They nodded and ran out. That's when Brayden came in carrying Joshua on his back. A doctor and a nurse came over and took Joshua to one of the rooms. "A demon came out of nowhere with a knife and threw it..it hit Josh.." I sighed and looked him in the eyes. "It's alright, Brayden. You did all you could. Go back out there. You got this." He nodded and ran away.

"Your majesty...your sister is missing..."

"What do you mean?"
