As Frances and Philip walk, the birds sing and the wind blows the changing color leaves onto the ground. Frances had always loved the autumn. She loved the colors and the peace. Her mind started to wander as Philip told one of his signature stories of court that Frances had heard a million times before. Frances wished to go run through the forest, let the leaves fall in her hair and just disappear. She pictures herself running through the leaves and she imagines James there with her and she can't help but brush brightly.
"Frances? Frances? Frances, where is your head today?" Philip says finally getting her attention and getting her mind out of the day dream.
"Sorry Philip, as I said before I have a headache and didn't get much sleep last night." Frances makes an excuse. Her mind was focused on James and how badly her head ached and just kept bouncing around.
"It is alright Frances." He smiles and she can't help but blush slightly. Feeling childish.
"Thank you Philip. This has been quite enjoyable. Mother, Father and I always enjoy your visits." She says to be kind.
"Well, thank you because I always do enjoy my visits to Barn Elms. To visit your parents, and you. " He says looking to her. She can't help but blush again and luckily before Philip says anything else and before Frances makes a fool of herself, Frances's mother Ursula comes over.
"Good day Philip. Sorry for the wait. Last minute preparations. Should have known you would be early." Ursula smirks and looks to her daughter, immediately knowing that Frances was glad she came.
"Good day Lady Walsingham. Sorry for messing up schedule I was just very eager to arrive." He smiles looking to Frances then back to Ursula.
"Well, shall we head back? Lucheon will be ready shortly." Ursula asks looking to her daughter and Philip.
"Yes, I believe that is a lovely idea." Frances says probably a bit too quickly and her mother notices, giving her a slightly look.
They head back to the house. Frances still having her arm reluctantly around Philip's. When they are back inside, Frances reverances to her parents and Philip and quickly goes to her room before lucheon is called so she can have a moment of peace to herself. She gets to the cooridor to her chambers and runs into James and blushes brightly as she caused him to spill her morning tea that she had forgotten to drink.
"Oh god, I am so sorry James." She says and chuckles.
James laughs as well and it causes Frances's cheeks to be scarlet red. "It is alright Ms. I was going to change in a few hours anyway. Might as well now right?" He teases her and she laughs. James has a slight blush on his cheeks as well.
"I should um.. probably head to lunch then." Frances smiles embarrassed at him.
"Of course Ms." He smiles and steps out of her way and Frances walks past quickly her heart pounding out of her chest. She walks into her chambers quickly shutting the door and leaning against it. She smiles and closes her eyes.Trying to get the blush in her cheeks to go away. She giggles at the look on James's face as he teased her.
Her daydream is suddenly interrupted by her mother calling for her. She quickly makes herself look a bit better, putting on a more appropriate hat for dinner and rushes down the stairs to the dining room.
