Chapter 6

Naruto had ghosted beside Sasuke. He managed a brief chuckle at what he was about to do. It was something Itachi-sensei would always do to him when his concentration wavered during the early mornings. He brought two fingers up and pressed them against Sasuke's forehead.

The Uchiha winced as he felt a stinging sensation against his temple. He opened eyes expecting to be greeted by Kakashi only to see a hand gesturing to the horizon. His eyes followed it and he couldn't believe it.

It was impossible.

"Impressed?" Naruto asked toying with the kunai in his hands. To him people like Gatou didn't deserve remorse.

Sasuke's body moved on its accord.

This wasn't possible. There was no way that it could be over so fast.

Naruto watched bored by the amazed look on Sasuke's face. To him it just felt so odd that people couldn't accept death. He moved besides Zabuza and asked him the same question he'd asked Sasuke.

"Are you impressed Zabuza-san?"

Now Zabuza Momochi had seen his fair share of blood.

His baptism as a Shinobi was done with it. Having been born in the Mist he'd become a Genin by killing, well slaughtering a hundred other hopefuls. It was how he'd earned the title of Demon of the Hidden Mist.

Yet even he couldn't shake the last words he'd heard.

"You think you're a demon…"

Zabuza just grunted his approval, snarling as the pain from his arms returned.

Haku though stood stupefied by it all. She herself was no stranger to blood. Still though, to think Naruto-kun could do so much damage…

He'd beaten Zabuza-sama so easily as well.

Naruto had already ghosted beside the stunned Nin as he began to shake her. He felt concerned that she may have been put off by what she'd seen.

"Haku-Chan are you…"

Karin though snarled watching the two.

"Get away from him you skank!" She cried as she stomped her way over to the two.

Haku immediately slipped a senbon between her fingers readying herself.

"Naruto-kun…"

"Yes Haku-Chan..."

Karin barely repressed a growl at what she heard and her mood only dampened at the blank look the Hunter-Nin was giving her.

"Who is this?"

Naruto sighed to himself oblivious to the tension between the two.

He should have known Karin must have watched the whole massacre because of her ability to sense chakra. He'd forgotten that even non-Shinobi had a small amount of it. Chakra was after all the essence of life…

"You watched didn't you?"

It was more a statement, than a question and his team mate soon forgot her ire at the Mist Nin as she saw Naruto-sama's attention all on her.
