So-ri smiled once more as she got introduced to another suited "suitable" guy
"I must confess, Miss Choi, you look dashing."
No doubt about that, So-ri thought, she was dressed in a hot green midi that complimented her colour and teased her hips, her hair was swept off one shoulder and Cascaded down her left.
The throng cleared and she ran from the room when no one was looking.
She wandered to the blissfully empty backyard of the house, sat down on a bench and closed her eyes.
That was embarrassing! It was as if Choi was showing her off or something, what was up with that? What was the real reason behind the throwing of this party, maybe he had some ulterior motives,or did he?
"Life's a bitch huh?." A voice said right into her ear, she jumped up with a half squeal, tethered on her hill, and landed hard on the grass.
"Shit!."
"I'm sorry, didn't mean to startle you." The intruder said, stretching a hand towards her.
She looked up.
"Yoon joon?."
Aka Mr taxi guy.
"You remembered my name!."
"How could I forget? You made quite an impression." She replied sarcastically as she dragged herself up, ignoring the helping hand he was offering.
"What are you doing her?." She asked. All suited up like that? She added in the privacy of her head.
"My family got invited to a party, who knew it'd be yours eh?"
"Am I missing something here?."
"Yep. I live at the back of your street, my parents belong to the same circle as Uncle choi , so.."
"In other words, you're another "suitable"."
"You could say that." He replied with a small smile.
"Life's not a bitch."
"Huh?."
"When life is moving according to your needs, she's never a bitch, but when things start going wrong, she automatically turns into a bitch. Why does everything bad gets to be termed feminine? Why can't life be a bastard? Why does life have to be a bitch?."
"Good question." Yoon joon murmured.
She dusted herself up. Excused herself and walked away, aware of his eyes burning into her back.
Where to now?
The Terrace, hopefully no one will be there, or follow in her wake to throw silly remarks at her.
At the Terrace, she met a lone figure, standing with his back to her and jacket slung over one shoulder. He turned around when the sound of her hills breached the silence and the two froze as their eyes met.
The guy smiled.
"You're the guy I saw at the grocery shop right?."
"That's me." He replied
"Well, what a coincidence."
"What a coincidence indeed, so what are you doing here?."
"Uncle choi decided to throw a party for me." She explained as she came over to stand beside him.
"Ah, then you must be So-ri."
"Guess I'm famous now."
"Not yet, but by Tomorrow, you will be."
