There was this one summer when I thought I had finally found the one.
I was at the airport about to fly back to my hometown since I had no summer classes at FEDAUNASA University. I'd rather go back home and spend the rest of my summer there than be at the dormitories doing nothing.
I was on my way to the check-in counter to line up when someone happened to bump into me. He wore this navy blue hoodie and some dark green cargo pants and a cap that covered his eyes and jet black hair. He seemed to be looking for something inside his bag and I'm guessing he did so while walking.
"Oops. Sorry." he said with his attention still on the bag. I know I should be a little annoyed with that but looking at him, and his voice, it came to me as pretty cute. I felt a smile creep on my face.
"No, it's okay." I managed to say. He had a lot of luggage. He had two big bags with him other than the backpack which he is pretty much trashing with all the scuffling he was doing with it.
"Do you need help?" I offered.
Then he looked at to me. My heart just skipped a beat. Those sea green eyes along with those cheekbones and that smile. His facial features awfully reminded me of this actor named Logan Lerman.
"Oh no. It's okay. I can handle this. Thanks." he says and gives me a wider smile. I smile back and make my way to the check-in counter.
Soon I successfully check-in and I proceed to the departure area. After a string of airport security checks I make my way to my assigned gate. Finally, after a stressful academic year in FedU I can go home and relax. Another one and a half hour and I'll be the laid-back lazy Julia Carter.
Nice meeting you by the way. Julia Carter here, an incoming third year college student from the Conservatory of Music. Yup, I'm a music gal!
Anyways, back to the story.
It was still a tad bit early and so the waiting area near the gate was still a bit empty. I went to sit near a pillar since it had a power outlet and I needed to charge my phone's batteries in case my mom tries to call me before we board the plane.
As I was surfing the net with my iPad I notice someone with familiar Reebok shoes stop in front of me. I stopped what I did and looked up to meet with those sea green eyes again.
I took off my earphones and smiled.
"You." I said.
"Yeah. You going in this flight?" he says.
"Yeah." I reply a bit too happily.
"What a coincidence. I am too." he says.
"Mind if I sit beside you?"
"Oh, no. Go ahead." insdie me I was screaming and jumping up and down. My crush (yes, I decided he was my crush by that time) just sat beside me and he even asked if he could!!
I look at him and found him looking around.
"Found what you've been looking for?" I said. He turns his attention back to me. "Oh! Earlier. Ah yeah." then he got from the pocket of his hoodie his ticket.
