The things that happened after that moment were just pure magic. We went back to join the others as we celebrated the end of a wonderful and successful event. Hand in hand we danced our way around the bonefire; Shane and I. Who would've thought that the two of us would be in this kind of situation after just three days of meeting each other? It was too quick, but every time I'm with Shane, a day would always feel like weeks, even months. I know everything about him and he knows everything about me.
After that Shane offered to take me home. I politely declined since my home is the other way from his. I don't want to burden him. He kept on insisting but he soon gave up.
"Then, goodnight." He said and gave me a quick kiss on the forehead.
I was caught off guard that I actually backed off a little. He just chuckled at my reaction as he pat my head.
"Y-yeah...goodnight." I replied and managed a smile. He pulls me into a hug and as we break it we wave goodbye to each other.
The walk home was somewhat longer than the usual. I was thinking of a lot of things. Those first moments when we met. What if he hadn't bumped into me? We wouldn't have met. Since when did he started liking me? Moreover, when did he realize his feelings for me? Did he deny it like I did? No. I don't think so. Did he supress himself? So many questions.
Anyways, the news about Shane and I being together seemed to be faster than my trip back home. Once my twin brothers saw me walk towards our front door from the window they immediately opened it and dragged me towards the living room where my mom, my dad, who was miraculously back even though he was supposed to be here after three months, and my grandma were gathered.
As soon as they saw me, all hell broke loose.
"Julia has a boyfriend! Julia has a boyfriend!" My brothers kept on chanting as they ran around the house.
"My dear Julia is grown up already. Having her first boyfriend. I'm so proud." my mom said as she wiped a tear with a handkerchief.
"You make me proud even more having him as your first boyfriend." my grandma added as she gave me a smile.
"Even so. It's been years since I saw that boy. You must bring him here tomorrow and then I will make my judgement." my dad said.
Sometimes I wonder why I am the only sane on the in the family. But wait...what did they say?
"You mean, you guys know Shane?" I said out of confusion.
"What do you mean we know Shane? Of course we do!" my mom replied.
Then we heard a car honk from outside our house. "OH! It's them!" the three of them said.
They all rushed to the door and welcomed this couple in. The couple also seemed to be in the same mind state as my parents and grandma. Are they best friends or something?
Then, as the couple sits down on the couch beside me, I see Shane coming in. He looks a bit embarrassed at first but as he saw me, his expresssion lightened a little.
I look at him. "What are you doing here?" He motioned me to come with him to a corner.
I stoop up and followed him as the adults talk with whatever they need to talk about.
We go into the kitchen and talk. "Are those your parents?" I ask him. "Well, yeah." he answers.
"What are they doing here? and what are YOU doing here?" I say. "You see, they were driving around when they saw me on my way home. Then they suddenly forced me into the car and drove off to your house. It seems that the news about you and me already reached them." he says as we take a peek at the four.
