3: conventus.

why did this happen?

you were just a normal person,
living a normal life,
making normal friends–
why do you have to meet a
vampire?

it was nothing but silence that welcomed you once you fluttered your eyes open. you sat up and observed your surroundings. a dim crystal-like light hanging by the dark ceiling, and a very unfamiliar room.
where are you?

most importantly, how did you get here? suddenly, memories of what happened washed over you like cold water soaking your very soul. you assume that you got caught in the very same arms of the blonde vampire, again.

chifuyu, was it? you wonder where he is now..

you jumped a little when you heard a creaking sound, and the door to your left was opened to reveal the blonde you were just thinking about.

"hi."

chifuyu closed the door behind him and made his way towards you, not breaking the eye contact. you gulped, wondering what's going to happen to you from now on.

"uhh.." you croaked out, voice small and nervous as chifuyu hums.
"is.. hina okay?" you asked, worried of your unconscious friend. you were supposed to guard her and look after her, not to lose your own consciousness, too.

"you're weird." chifuyu chuckles softly, which made your brows crease together. he then grinned at your annoyed expression, putting his arms up as if he was surrendering.

"excuse me?" you queried, lowkey offended. chifuyu then opened his mouth to explain himself.

"i can't even read your mind. at first, i thought your fear was just getting its way inside your head. turns out, you're just unreadable." chifuyu lets out a chuckle again before he went to the small table beside you.

"you're weird because i never encountered anyone like you before." he says as he picks up the glass of water atop the table, turning and handing it to you.

"you're unique, you know." and there goes his comforting smile again, never failing to calm you even though you two just met.

you feel your face heats up a little while you get the glass from him, holding it infront of your chest.

"drink up, you must be exhausted."

you nodded and held the glass close to your lips, lifting it up a little and drinking the water. you just realized that you were thirsty when the first droplet of water entered your mouth.

"hina's under a critical condition."

your eyes widened and you almost dropped your drink the moment chifuyu announced that. you abruptly stopped drinking and looked at him wide-eyed, chifuyu sighed.

"she's literally dying."

seriously.

what's up with him and his timing?

you could've choked on the water and die, you know.

"what do you mean?" worried, you asked him and put away the empty glass of water. "where is she?"
