"Father,..." the man started slowly, "...the Gehenna we see every day is quite painful to watch."
"Yes, and they deserve it do they not?"
"Of course Father, but I would also like to remind you of a love," he said as he turned to the young woman before them.
"Son, I have given you riches and honor. Do you really wish to petition for this woman? Does she not deserve the verdict that we have concluded here today?"
"She was found to be guilty Father. I cannot change that," he said quietly.
"You have already been through enough hurt and I wish no more on you."
"I did it for them,...for her," he turned to her again, eyes crinkling in a small smile.
"Do you have the Book?" The man in the higher seat spoke to the audience.
"Yes your Majesty," a tinkling voice said in the distance.
"Bring it to me. My Son has reminded me of something."
In less than a few moments, a rather large book, with seemingly endless pages, was brought forth and placed before them.
"Osanna," the man's voice carried throughout the great hall in thunder. "My Son has given you a chance. Had it not been for Him, your very soul would be out the door and into an eternal Gehenna."
She stood in shock at the men before her.
"I-I understand."
She knew where she was now.
She knew what had happened.
