(9th) Thorn rouses Levi early with a kiss. Levi doesn’t realize until he cracks an eye open. He decides waking up like this is the best way to do it. Levi closes his eye again to make this last. He tries to keep his breathing slow and his body still.

Thorn realizes that Levi is awake, but doesn’t want to get up. He pulls away and walks to the door. He pauses before exiting.

“We have an hour to get ready and be at the court house. Get ready, something nice. Don’t forget to eat.” He walks out. Levi slowly gets up at throws on slacks and a button down. He goes into the kitchen to eat before heading to the bath room.

Doing things that do not need to be discussed, he walks to the living room to wait for Thorn. Putting on his shoes, Levi wonders how this will go. Will Thorn win? Is this too sudden?

Thorn walks in, fixing papers in his briefcase. Levi gasp as he looks Thorn over. He is in a black suit, fitting him quite nicely. His blood red tie stands out against his black shirt. Thorn looks up and Levi is surprised that the black ring that is normally around Thorn’s eyes is still there. Maybe it is done a little more tastefully. If you did not know Thorn, you would not be able to tell that he has any makeup on.

“Let’s go. I want to get this over with.” They grab their jackets and head out.

Levi is sitting in the back. Thorn cannot see him, but knowing he’s there makes him want to impress the brown eyed beauty. And maybe that he wants to impress his boss. But that doesn’t matter. He is almost positive he can win.

Levi can’t see or hear Thorn well, but he can get the gist of it. Thorn is the middle of almost yelling at the accused. He is speaking so fast, it is like he is rapping again. He is striding around, gesturing randomly. The bad boy look works as no one dares to interrupt him.

The accused, Mr. West, is scared of the prosecutor interrogating him. He feels like he is staring into is soul and like he has a personal issue with him. He can’t take it anymore.

“Alright! Alright.” Thorn strides over to Mr. West and leans into him, staring. “I was drunk and driving. I hit her and left, okay? I confess.” The court gasp and he expects Mr. Rowland to smile or smirk, but he stays straight faced, almost looking a little sad.

“Thank you for doing the right thing. I appreciated it.” He walks away to his colleagues. Mr. West is confused, but figures it’s just ‘cause he is getting paid for this.

Thorn is not a fan of all the attention he is getting for winning this case. It was not hard, but since it was his first, he is watched closely, and they are surprised. He wants to go leave and cuddle at home. All that assuming and talking fast has taken a number on him.

“Thorn, I’m Mrs. Greene’s assistant. I was instructed that if you won, to give you this.” The man hands Thorn a thin envelop. Thorn slips it into his jacket and nods.
