(Two years later on Valentine’s Day) Thorn cannot believe it’s been two years since Levi and he got together after Levi got hit. It’s been the best two years of his life. Filled with fun days and loving nights. They seamlessly fit into each other’s life, like they were meant to be there.

And for Thorn, Levi is meant to be there. After meeting his family on Christmas and getting used to their quirks, Thorn is sure Levi is the one. But he felt like it was too soon. He hadn’t at the time meet Levi’s family. He couldn’t make a life without meeting his boyfriend family.

Their first anniversary was slightly tense. Thorn was carful and he tried not to worry Levi, but he noticed. He just reassured Thorn and then had a wonderful day, and the night was amazing, and they both like to think back to it.

So when the next Christmas they went to Levi’s, he became sure that Levi is the one he wants to marry. But he wants to get it right this time. Thorn wants it to be super special on their anniversary, so he started planning as soon as they got back to their apartment. Their dog greeted them as Thorn went to his office, Levi’s old room, under the pretense of he has to work. Levi looks hurt, but Thorn knows it’ll be worth it when the day comes.

And the day has come. Thorn is waken up with breakfast in bed by his lovely, pleasing boyfriend. They eat by feeding each other, just like the first few meals they had together where Levi wouldn’t eat. They clean up and go to watch a movie.

Lev knows today will be spent in the apartment due to Thorn’s fear of losing him. But that is a small price to pay for the man he loves. It bothered him the first time, but this time he’s okay with it. He doesn’t feel like going out today. Cuddles, dinner, and fun is all he needs today. He leans into Thorn’s chest.

They make dinner together. Little kisses in between putting things into the pan take both their breaths away. Thorn is star struck that this man in front of him is soon to be his fiancé, if he says yes. God, Thorn hopes he will say yes. Is it too soon? Should he wait? They get dressed in nice clothes, Levi being done first. Thorn slips it into his pocket and walks to the nicely set table.

They eat and chat about nothing. Levi is at ease and loves it, but Thorn is a sweating mess. He doesn’t know how Levi hasn’t noticed his shaking hands yet. They eat until they are almost full, knowing there is dessert and the will work it off later.

Thorn gets the dessert, one to calm his breathing, and two, to figure out when to do it. He figures the time will just be right.

The dessert is delicious, or what they eat in between sentences.

“Do we have anything planned for tomorrow?” Levi asks before taking a bite and looking at Thorn.

“Nothing, why?” Thorn eats tiny bites due to him feeling like he will throw up.

“So if I can’t walk tomorrow, it’ll be fine?” Levi flutters his eyes at Thorn, who lets out a nervous laugh.

“Yes, though I have something planned tonight.” Thorn wipes his mouth and sweat off his hands. He stands and pulls Levi up too. He takes his hands in his. Levi’s eyes widen as Thorn gets on one knee.

“I love you, Levi. These past two years have been amazing. You complete me and have helped in so many ways. I love you more than words can explain. Will you marry me and become Levi Alexander Flynn Rivers-Rowland?” Levi nods with tears in his eyes. He pulls Thorn up to kiss him passionately. They kiss and Levi breaks it off to pull Thorn to their bedroom to do it for the first time as fiancés.

The dessert lays going cold on the table, forgotten, for a perfectly good reason. Because, why would anyone reasonably forget dessert?
