"She took her pants off and ducked a cat"
-My cousin trying to write my story...To say that Rosaline wasn't sitting around waiting for her call back to see if she got the job would be lying. Rosaline was beyond nervous and couldn't sit still. Lillian was still asleep on Rosaline's couch and Miles was snoring away in Rosaline's bed. Even though Rosaline and Miles have never done anything extremely intimate beyond making out, Rosaline still liked to sleep in the same bed as him. It's comforting to have someone at your side the whole night and wake up to that same person the next morning and have breakfast with them.
Rosaline was messing around in her kitchen making breakfast, well more like brunch, for her and her guests. It was the only thing that could keep her mind off of the job. Quickly glancing at the clock to see that it's only been three minuets since the last time she checked, she signed and scolded herself for worrying so much about it. It was still earlyish in the morning and they probably needed more time to think about her. They'll call. She tells herself for at least the hundredth time this morning. For the second that her mind is not on the task at hand, which is mixing the pancake batter, the bowl falls out of her hand and crashes to the ground. Rosaline's heart leaps out of her chest for a split second once she realizes that she was the one making all the noise.
A loud groan is heard from the living area as Rosaline sees Lillian's head poke up from the couch. She runs her hand through her hair and stretches her arms above her head as she yawns. Lillian looks over at Rosaline for a second before looking down at her phone for the time.
"Bloody hell Rose, it's still too early for this stuff what are you-" She stops mid sentence when she gets a whiff of the eggs and bacon that Rosaline had been cooking and jumps off the couch to sit at the island in the kitchen.
"Never mind, continue on," Rosaline smiled at her friend before she caught a glimpse of Miles, her currently shirtless and messy haired boyfriend, and damn, she thought, he was dreamy. Lillian paid no attention to the couples obvious intimate eye exchange. She was use to it and learned to avoid it over the years.
Miles was not a wimpy little kid that stayed home all the time signing up on online dating sites, no, Miles was so much more then that. He was built, thanks to his weekly trips to the gym. Miles knew how to be sweet and caring but also knew how to beat the sh*t out of someone if he needed to. He was the perfect guy for Rosaline and she couldn't be happier. She loved this man and he loved her just as much.
He came up to her and gave her a sweet, soft kiss on the lips before pulling her tightly to his chest and kissing the top of her head.
"Smells wonderful Darling, what are you making?" He went to go sit next to Lillian who was on her phone pretending to not have noticed what just happened in front of her.
"Eggs, bacon, and now some pancakes," He smiled at her joy of cooking and turned on the small TV that was sitting on the wall of the counter top. The first channel that showed up was MTV. Rosaline couldn't help but be obsessed with the channel, it's like they put an addicting drug in their shows, and Miles couldn't help but always laugh when she tried to explain it to him.
Rosaline caught a slight hint of a smile on his lips before he changed the channel to the news. Of course Lillian immediately protested against it, saying how the news was all game and was just trying to get us to believe in things that aren't true. Miles brushed her off and turned up the volume to drown out Lillian.
Rosaline tuned them both out as she turned back to her mess at hand. Cleaning up the spilled pancake mix. She picked up the bowl and threw it in the sink to be washed later with the rest of the dishes. Deciding that it would just be easier and faster to mop it up, she went to the closet that held all her cleaning stuff and pulled out a mop and a small bucket to fill with water and soup. She went back and cleaned up her mess, slightly listening to the stories they were telling on the news. The news never really interested her or her parents so there wasn't much of it in her family, but the second Miles came along, it was there 24/7 and surprisingly it didn't bother her as much as she initially thought. Yeah, some of the things they report on are really stupid, but for the most part it could keep her entertained for about thirty minuets.
