I Need To Know

Zenyatta has been in her room for hours and refused to get out. Her eyes were red from crying, but now she was out of tears. She felt like her dad didn't trust her enough anymore, but didn't know why. She groaned in anger.

"Why is he like this? Why can't he tell me? What's going ON?!"

Zenyatta couldn't take it anymore. She had to leave, go somewhere. So she grabbed her satchel, just in case, and her board and left her room to head downstairs. She was about to put her hand on the doer handle of the front door when she heard a familiar voice.

"Where's my hug?"

Zenyatta turned to see Rhodey standing near the living room with arms wide open. She smiled and walked to give Rhodey his hug.

"You know," Rhodes said. "You're the first person to greet me when I come here. What's up?"

Zenyatta sighed and pulled away from him. "Rhodey. I don't know what to do. I mean, all of sudden he's changed. He's hasn't been the same since Obidiah. And I know you've already talked to him, so I know you probably know what's going with him."

"Yep. That's true. But,"

"You promised not to tell me." She finished for him. "I figured."

"Listen Zen Zen. Your father loves you so much. You are the one thing he can't live without."

"Psh bullshit. He told me himself that life would be better without me."

"Now you know he didn't mean that. He's going through something... really big. But no matter what, he will always love you. And you know that."

Zenyatta stood there looking at the ground. She knew Rhodey was right, but she couldn't think. She couldn't speak.

"I know." She croaked. "But I need to know what's wrong. I just want to help him."

Rhodey nodded in understanding.

"I just need to get out. I'll see you later Rhodey."

"Take care Zen Zen."

Zenyatta didn't say anything as she walked out the door and jumped on her skateboard. Going wherever the wheels take her.
