I woke up to the sound of a loud rumbling noise. It was the moving trucks. Today was the day we moved. Traveling half way across the states. It didn't really bother me, I was excited. I've never been out of Texas before. I was basically how the saying went here, "born and raised." I'm glad we'll be in my moms car, and not stuck driving one of those old, moving trucks. I got up and looked out the window seeing them pack the last few boxes. I hurried and got ready. I grabbed my suit case and went downstairs, outside.

I stood next to my mom watching the movers finish up.
She sighed, " I wish your dad was here."
"Me too mom- me too." My eyes filling with tears.
My mom turned towards me and hugged me.
"Don't cry baby. We need to be happy, we're starting over, and moving to a place where we can have a better future, my mom said choking on her words, trying not to cry.
I let go of the hug and wiped away my tears.
"Go get in the car baby, I'm gonna go threw the house and lock the door."
"Alright mom."
I made my way towards the car, I threw my suitcase in the trunk. Before I got into car I took a picture of the house for memories. I made sure I got every inch of it. After I took the picture I got in the car and waited for my mom.
My mom returned a couple of minutes later. We drove off with two moving trucks behind us.
"Hey Avery, before we leave. I need to drop off the keys to the house at the neighborhood office."
"That's fine mom."
We soon reached the neighborhood office. We had to hurry since the movers couldn't fit in the parking lot and were parked out on the side of the street. I wonder if they were even up for the road trip to California. Being away from home for about a week. Could they even afford it? I thought to myself.
"Hello, Avery?" My mom asking me, snapping me out of a trance.
"Huh? What?" Shaking my head.
"It's time to go now sweetie." Standing in the door way, waiting to leave. I followed her out the door to the car. Then we were soon off on our road trip to California.

*fourteen hours later*

Waking up from the long road trip. Opening my eyes we arrived to a big, beautiful beach house located right on the beach. The back yard? Was the beautiful coast of San Diego, California.
"Mom is this it?" Trying not to fangirl.
"Yes dear, welcome to our new home."
I got out of car and ran up the stairs to the doorstep, waiting for my mom to unlock the door. She came a minute later since she was walking. Once she had unlocked the door, I looked around.
The entrance was big and open. Right in front of me was the staircase and a underpass with a walk way above it. There the underpass there was a huge living room to the left and a kitchen to the right; both room connected. Outside in the back was a huge covered back porch with a bar, outside kitchen, and dining area. Going back to the main entrance, when walking right into the house, to the right was a dinning room, then to the left was an office. Going upstairs there were two big equal sized bed rooms each had their own bath and at the opposite end of the house was the master bedroom.
I chose the room at the back of the house which had a balcony and over looked the beach. I could tell then I'm going to have a great life here. After this weekend I would start my new school, so we should be somewhat settled in. I would be tired tired on the first day, but I would care less from that. I'm gonna be so cool, I mean at the school I went to where I got in trouble at, I had friends, and a couple boys were all over me. I'll do just fine here.

We then began unpacking this weekend, we offered the movers to stay with us. We let them sleep in the two bed rooms, while my mom and I slept in the masters. We all got along that weekend, no problems occurred with them staying. My mom gave all four of the moving guys $100 each for helping and to get things on the ride back.

*Sunday night*

After finally finishing unpacking everything, and putting them up, I was exhausted. I went upstairs and took my clothes off; putting on a shirt. I don't like wearing clothes, so I just wear a shirt with my underwear. No bra or anything else. That's all I wear around the house. Looking at the clock, it said 10:35. I walked over to my bed a laid down, slowly drifting asleep.
