"Y-YOU DON'T REMEMBER ME?"

Peter Parker looks absolutely heartbroken. From the big, saucer eyes, to the sagging shoulders to the way his bottom lip is trembling - Spencer feels like complete and utter shit.

But she keeps that blank expression, glancing at Pietro. After all, it was his idea that Spencer pretends she has no clue who this kid is, or what he's doing here.

"I guess not," Pietro answers for her, locking eyes with Spencer. Peter can't tell, but Spencer notices the way he's clearly suppressing a grin right now.

"But Mr.Stark said you remember everyone," Peter stresses, staring back at Spencer. His hands are gripping at his backpack straps.

"Everyone important," Pietro tacks on, crossing his arms over his chest. "Like Bruce, her mother, me-"

Peter looks devastated. And Spencer immediately feels regret for listening to stupid, dumb Pietro. After all - what kind of joke is this? It was the stupid blue eyes that made Spencer agree in the first place.

"Of course I remember you, Peter," Spencer breaks, instantly. Pietro beside her groans and Spencer sends him a nasty look. Peter looks utterly confused. "Come here," Spencer tells him, opening her arms for a hug.

Relief rushes through Peter, and he practically jumps forward into Spencer's arm.

"I-I thought you were being serious," he mumbles into her arms, and Spencer sends Pietro a death glare.

"You think I'd remember Pietro over you?" SPencer checks. "Never," she promises, pulling away from him.

"Enough of this," Pietro cuts in, irritated with the both of them. Spencer and Peter grin at each other. "Let's go."

"I'm driving," Spencer announces, grabbing the keys off the counter.

Peter does a double-take between Pietro and Spencer.

Spencer notices. "What?" she demands.

Peter shrugs, shaking his head. "Nothing, nothing," he brushes off, but his voice is all pitchy, and Spencer gets the feeling there definitely is something.
