His face went blank, no emotion. "The dust in this place is getting to you. Come on." He grabbed my arm and started pulling me out of the place.
"James! What are you doing?" I shouted pulling my hand away, then running down the hall to see if these so called 'spirits' would show their faces again.
"Rocky!" James chased after. "Are you sure you are not imagining things, this stuff happens all the time, it's completely nor-" He was cut off by a 'spirit' standing right in front of him. "****! What the heck that freaking scared the **** outta me!" (See what I did there)
"James, Rockelle." A blue figure stood in front of us. "I am Lince, spirit of the air, neutral spirit" She took a step closer. "Here is Vain, spirit of earth, smartest spirit." A green figure appeared as she said the words. "Here is Trice, spirit of the land known as Janni, spirit of peace." A purple spirit appeared on the opposite side of Vain. "Finally, Fice." A black and red spirit appeared. "Spirit of the land known as Hebrin. Spirit of war and blood."
"You all must choose your spirit, fate, and destiny. We come tomorrow to hear your decisions." Vain said quietly, and with that they left.
We both looked at each other. I crossed my arms. "Okay, okay, you were right." He threw his hands up in the air.
"Good, now. We have 6 people to tell about this." I said and jogged to the end of the hallway, my hand on the rusty doorknob. "You coming?" He paused for a minute. Then looked down, to, pick something up. "James!" He picked up whatever he was looking at and walked outside.
We sat on my porch. James had found a box, a chest looking box. "I found this, let's open it." He popped it open.
"Red, blue, purple, and green gems." I said looking inside the chest, as I picked on up. "It's, a necklace." I looked up.
"Each spirit has a different color. They told us to choose, these represent out teams." James said trying to figure it out.
------
"Okay everyone!" I shouted, "we have seen spirits. We must divide into teams." Everyone laughed, "Why are you laughing, it's true."
"Guys, it's true, I saw it." Everyone started to be quiet, like they trusted him and not me.
"What are the teams?" Isabella said.
"Uh, Lince, Vain, Fice Trice." I said quickly, I don't know why I rushed, but I did. That evening all we did was talk about what they were like and it seemed like some of my neighbors already knew who they were going to choose.
Vain- Earth, smart, green
Lince- Air, neutral, blue
Fice- Hebrin, war, red
Trice- Janni, peace, purplePart of me wants to know if we will have epic battles in dojos with cute fuzzy creatures as pets, no shut it Rocky. "Okay who knows what team they want to be on?" I asked, not a single person raised their hand, talked, nothing.
"Maybe we should wait till tomorrow before we make the decision, before the spirits arrive?" Dan said. With that we all went home.
