It was night, the moonlight bleeding in through any uncovered windows as it shone onto the Earth. Miia was lying face-down on her bed, her arms covering her eyes and deep in thought.
She was trying to focus on Kimihito, and his declaration to date the three known demi-humans in the household. But no matter how hard she dwelled on it, she kept getting distracted, her mind being dragged away to thoughts of Y/n.
She hadn't known him for very long, but she knew that he wasn't the type to show weakness in front of people for just about any reason, but he had. That, and last night he'd been wondering around at the same time as some crazed wild animal that was even a threat to demi-humans, had made her worried sick. And then she shivered, a single image flashing through her mind, making her freeze for the brief moment it was there.
Y/n, laying slumped against a wall with huge gashes all over him, seeming to just barely be conscious as he looked at her with exhausted red eyes. His mouth moved, as though trying to say something.
Then the image was gone, and she was sure it was just a result of her imagining his red eyes and her worry for him last night.

While it had taken a while, given shipping and all that, Centorea had finally gotten another sword since Y/n broke her last one. It was mostly the same as her old one, though much less polished, hence the expensive cloth she was rubbing slowly along the blade.
Centorea: "We're... we're getting married."
She spoke dreamily, eyes glazed over and reflected in the blade that slowly grew glossier and glossier. And then her voice hardened, eyes focusing into an intense stare.
Centorea: "If I'm to protect my master from the guiles of those other two, I better keep my trusted sword in pristine condition."
Out of nowhere, a wild Papi appeared, leaping onto Centorea's horse body and hugging her with her typical wide, slightly dopey, smile.
Papi: "Hey Centorea, will you come play a game with me?"
Centorea: "Not now Papi. I'm still polishing my blade after that-"
She took a deep sigh through her teeth, still profoundly irritated by the thought of Y/n breaking her old sword right in front of her. Though equally confused as to how he had shattered the steel so effortlessly, however that thought was still a new one that had been given little time to fester in her mind's distracted state of anger whenever she thought of the black and yellow haired man.
Papi: "Come on please!"
Centorea: "I told you I'm busy."
There was an edge to her voice, brought about by thoughts of Y/n, she found him absolutely insufferable. Not just his destruction of her property, but also his general demeanour. He was sharp, silver-tongued when it suited him and ill-mannered when it didn't. She got the impression that he could very easily slip into the role of the kings evil right-hand who was secretly pulling the strings the whole time. Not at all that her interpretations of such a role were influenced by every medieval piece of media ever because they all focused on that one thing for some unknown reason.
In the kitchen, Y/n was doing something he'd never done before, cooking, specifically cooking something that couldn't just be chucked in the microwave or on a grill. With a pan in hand, he flipped whatever it was that Kimihito was teaching him how to make. Y/n still held true to them being over-seasoned omelettes.
Kimihito: "Okay you can stop now; they look about done to me."
Y/n threw his arms up and cheered in victory, filled with the joy of succeeding in a new task that he rarely got in his past life given his lack of leaving his comfort zone to try new things.
