The hole was getting smaller and smaller, there were a lot of insects too. I'm never going to go back to this place again. I climbed out of the hole and lit the candle.

"Beomgyu!?"

"Lena!?" I ran toward her direction.

My guards came inside and blocked my way. "Oh, guys you're here, could you move? I need to open the bars ," I said to my guards. "Wait, how did you guys sneak inside?" They didn't move, instead they grabbed my arms and trapped me. "Ehh..guys, why are you trapping me?"

Then someone came inside. It was the mysterious girl that took Lena, but this time her hood was off and she looked like...

"Beomgyu! I missed you." she smiled

"Well I don't" I said. She killed my grandfather and left me when I was a baby. What makes her think I would miss her?

"Anyways...let's make this quick, Let me take your place and I'll let your girl free, deal?" she asked.

"No, why would I do that, I'm not dumb and why do you want to take my place so badly. You could've become the queen if you didn't kill grandpa." I explained.

"Your grandfather is a good guy, he trusted me, but I had a purpose when I married your father. My father had always wanted to take over your place. It was almost impossible to be able to succeed. Especially since your empire was the strongest among the others. So my father decided that I should gain your side's trust. I might not be as strong as your empire, but I'm definitely smarter. I want both. "She said.

"If you knew that my empire was the strongest among the others then why bother to try to take over our empire, you could've taken over the other kingdoms and empires."

"True, but we could gain more power if we succeed in taking over your place and besides i'm sick of the others saying that our place was weak and all that stuff, I wanted to proof them that they were wrong."

"Why do you have to take Lena then? She has nothing to do about all of this." i asked

"You're smart, but not smarter than me, it was obvious for bait. Your father is weak and pretty sure he has a soft spot for me, you're my first priority. "

"There were guards around the fence, how did you get in?"

"Your father needed some new guards, he announced that he will be accepting some, so I asked my guards to apply for it. They were told to guard the fences, so I just snuck in from there. I went to the village and tried to think of a way to get in, it's a good thing no one recognized me. And the guards that your father sent to come with you were also from my side. I could actually end things faster. The first plan that I thought of was to kill your father right away. My would've worked if it wasn't because of her" she pointed to Lena.

"What did I do?" Lena asked

"You noticed that the window was open. I had to find another way. I'm running out of time. Let me take your place or you're never going to see her again."

Lena's POV

I don't want to die, but what will happen to Beomgyu if his mother takes over his place? It's definitely not something good, judging from all the things that she has done. I mean will I actually die if I die here. Right?

"I'm choosing none of those."

"Wrong answer." his mom said. She went out of the dungeons and asked the guards to put me behind the bars.

Beomgyu's POV

I tried to escape from the guards. I tried to kick and punch them, but it did no damage. One of the guards had a small dagger on his belt so tried to grab it. I kept on trying to reach it. I finally got it and tried to push them with all my might. I stabbed it onto one of their faces. The guard dropped me to the ground. Something shiny fell down from his pocket. The key. I took and went to open the bars. I held Lena's and ran as fast as I could.
