Travis POV

It's terrifying.

I never thought I'd be put in a situation like this, but here I am. Holding my crush's head in my lap whispering comforting words to her while she's bleeding out.

"SOMEBODY GET AN APOLLO CAMPER! I NEED HELP OVER HERE!" Miranda yells and runs to find somebody leaving Katie and I alone.

"It's gonna be okay. You'll be alright, Stoll's honor." I whisper to her.

The knife is still in her stomach and she's holding onto it, soaking her hands in blood. Her crimson blood is pooling up, staining my shoes and pants. Not that I care about anything other than Katie right now. Her eyes squeeze tightly shut as she takes deep breaths. I can't imagine how much pain she's in.

"I'm so sorry Katie-Kat, I'm so sorry." I whisper so quietly, I don't think she hears me. A single tear makes it's way down her soft features, and I feel like crying myself. "Don't die on me . . . please." I say softly. She opens her eyes to look at me. "Don't plan on it." she tells me, giving me a tight smile.

And the floodgates open. Tears pour out of me like a dam. I can't stop them. At this point, I don't care who sees me crying, I'm only focused on Katie. She lifts one hand from her wound, and goes to cup my cheek, but then sees the blood on her palm. She tries to wipe it on her shirt, but if anything, that just got more blood on her. She gives up, and caresses my face anyway. I close my eyes, giving in to her gentle touch. Savoring what might be the last time I get to feel it.

She smiles weakly at me. "Don't cry for me, Trav." she whispers. "Why would you do that? Why would you do that for me? How could you take that blade for me?" I ask, the tears never ceasing. "I can't have my enemy dead, now can I?" she asks, chuckling slightly, but then wincing at the pain. "Katie you can't joke at a time like this!" I tell her, "You can't leave me."

Just then, four Apollo campers rush to Katie and lift her onto a stretcher to take her to the infirmary. I take her hand and hold it as we rush to an open bed. They take her from the stretcher and lift her onto the bed.

"We're gonna need you to leave." one of the campers say to me.

"Okay, okay. That's okay. I'll go, I can go now." I breathe. I turn around to leave the room, just as I hear Katie yell, "Travis! Where is Travis?! I need Travis!"

I spin around on my heal to see Katie reaching her hand out to me, as the Apollo campers get ready to fix her up. I rush to her side and kneel next her her, while taking her bloody hand in mine. "I'm here, Katie-Kat,I'm here." I say. "Travis," Katie says urgently, "if I don't make it, I need you to know-" she stops talking and lets out an ear splitting scream, and for me, a heart shattering scream, just as they rip the knife out of her frail body. Her hand grips mine tighter, and a few tears pour from her eyes.

But I'm ripped from Katie's side by more Apollo campers telling me, "You can't stay in here, you've really gotta go." But I don't care. Katie needs me.

"Travis! Travis No! Please don't go!" Katie screams, reaching out to me before they inject a needle in her arm, making her whole body go limp. "No! Katie!" I turn to the people forcing me out of the room. "Please guys, I've gotta be in there, please, please" I beg. "I'm sorry dude, but it's very dangerous. For you, and for her. We'll let you know if anything happens, okay?" they tell me, and I only nod.

Please don't leave me, Katie-Kat.
