• two •— THE WHY DON'T WE FAMILIES all got ready to go to dinner. daniel james seavey smiled, talking on the phone with his girlfriend.
"what time are you picking me up for dinner?" evie smiles, brushing through her blonde strands.
fixing his shirt collar, daniel looks at her and smiles, "7, like i always do for our dates cupcake." the couple smiles at each other and blowing each other a kiss goodbye before hanging up.
walking downstairs placing his phone in his back pocket, daniel met his other siblings; tyler, christian, and anna at the front of their house. keri and jeff seavey were outside on the family's porch talking in soft voices.
"is amelia coming with violeta?" keri whispers, looking around to make sure the kids didn't hear her.
jeff nods and sighs, putting his head in his hands. he felt awful that his kids never met their sister before or vice versus. they were good kids and they deserved to know the truth but, he could never get the urge to tell them.
"it's gonna be fine honey, don't stress it," his wife smiles, giving his knee a comforting squeeze. jeff nods and calls from outside for the rest of the seavey family to get into the car.
meanwhile in amelia and violeta's residence, the mother and daughter were getting ready to meet vi's father for dinner. she hadn't seen her dad since she was seven years old, so she was a little nervous.
the past twelve years, amelia evans-seavey raised her beautiful daughter alone. she was a single mom; never thought about remarrying anyone after her divorce with violeta's dad.
"we ready to leave my v-bee?" amelia asks her daughter, smiling at how pretty she looked in a light blue slim cut dress.
her hair was in beach waves, light makeup on her face; concealer, silver shimmery eyeshadow, pink frost lip stick, and dark long mascara. thinking back to what the boy she met in target said about liking her in light blue, she figured she would wear the color.
for as much as she hated him; he did know style. "yes, i'm ready. whenever you're good to go mom." amelia nods, taking her daughters hand to walk to their front door.
twenty-five minutes later, all the why don't we families, along with violeta and her mom got seated at a table together.
jack and violeta both walked to their seats, not realizing it was each other and bumped heads before sitting down in their chairs.
"what the actual mother fucker!" jack groans, rubbing his forehead. recognizing his voice, violeta gasps. hearing her gasp, he looks up at and rolls his eyes. "you've got to be fucking kidding me-" he mutters under his breath.
violeta shakes her head and just sits down in her chair. "uhh- you two know each other?" a blonde haired boy with blue eyes asks, sitting down in a chair right across from violeta.
"don't worry about it man- it's not important," jack scoffs, sitting down next to vi.
"what? that i kneed you in the balls, because you were being an asshat?" violeta says in a sharp tone, causing the boy sitting across from her to laugh, along with three more boys who sat down towards the left end of the table.
