— "HURRY UP VI!" anna seavey yells from downstairs. yawning, violeta struggles to get out of bed. this was a normal struggle for the twenty year old, but today was especially rough.

her night had been spent explaining the whole story of her and jack to christina, while occasionally making sure no one else was awake to hear her.

deep down, vi knew she would have to tell daniel at some point about her and jack, but she was scared too. daniel was very overprotective and didn't have the best reaction to change.

walking down stairs, with her bright white shoelaces (still untied), violeta made her way to the kitchen. anna was sitting at the table eating a piece of avocado toast.

"morning," the brunette haired girl says, grabbing a mug from the cabinet located in the corner of the kitchen.

"good morning," her sister beams, offering the older girl the coffee pot that was recently freshly brewed.

vi thanked her sister and took the pot, pouring herself a decent portion. additionally she added her sweeteners, sugar and cream.

sitting down at the table violeta took a small sip of her coffee, "where are we going today?"

"i thought we go thrifting, and then possibly go to the new smoothie place?"

"ooh yeah, anyone else coming besides us?"

"well... you could potentially invite your secret boyfriend."

violeta rolls her eyes at her sister's comment. even if her and jack were past the friend stage they most definitely were not a couple.

figuring she shouldn't push the topic further, anna signaled for them to grab their coats and the two set out to leave.

once arriving into downtown la, the sisters decided to start off their mini adventure with an iced coffee. pulling into the lot of the starbucks drive-thru anna turns on the radio. a couple of advertisements play before the next song starts to play.

sitting back comfortably in her seat, vi looked out at the sky as the car pulled forward. today, the sky depicted the same blazing sunshine it did every other day. it was too hot in la to even think of it as any other season than summer.

"thank you, have a good day!" anna says, thanking the people who handed her their drinks through the car window, "alright, where to next?"

vi shrugs, not entirely sure on what stores they even had. being in new york for most of her summer and the beginning of the fall made the twenty year old completely forget about the warm city on the west coast.

after driving around for a bit and not finding any stores that impressed them, the girls decided to just go to the mall. on the drive, violeta played her playlist on spotify of taylor swift.

"didn't know you were a swfitie." anna laughs after the twentieth song starts to play.

violeta just smiles and shrugs, "what can i say? she's an icon."

anna parked the car and the two walked in. the mall was crowded, like always. the two girls walked by the fragrance section, which reeked with perfumes. they went into the nike store because vi wanted to pick up an extra pair of nike airs.

while looking at a pair, violeta heard a familiar voice. "so you're following me now huh." turning on her heels violeta smiled, looking at a familiar face; jack's.

"pretty sure you're the one following me, considering you texted me earlier what i was doing today." she teased, pushing his shoulder slightly with her hand.

jack laughed a bit, a small smile curling up on his lips. "okay, fair," he blushes a bit. "in my defense, i actually do need a new pair of sneakers."

vi giggles, but then frowns when she notices the size of the shoes jack was holding. they were at least the size of a baby, even more likely a toddler. she worried that maybe she and jack didn't really know everything about each other.

but that couldn't be true. for the amount they've been talking neither of them mentioned anything that they still needed to tell the other. however, violeta didn't want to question him on it. the last thing she wanted was to make the wrong assumption about something as serious as jack being a dad.

which of course, was 100% not true. 

he wouldn't just lie to her right?

"i'll see you later avery," she smiles giving the boy a quick kiss on the cheek, not thinking much of it.

getting a little flushed in the face, jack could feel himself beaming on the outside. "yeah, cya honeybee."

jack watches her walk away smiling and then looked down at the little jordan's he picked up and sighed. he didn't want to, but it was going to have to happen sooner or later.

it could either make or break his relationship with vi. and jack was really hoping it wasn't going to wreck one of the best things he had in his life.

second, to his little princess of course.
