Mr. Soulmateless came to the café regularly.

Well, it was more like he dropped by for five minutes or so to get his same order of iced americano before rushing through the door.

He always came when there were less people inside, either in the incredibly early morning where the shop had just opened or very late at night where there was ten minutes before closing hours.

Mr. Soulmateless sure hated crowds.

You concluded that after seeing his discomfort when people stared at him longer than normal people would. When the stares reached past some duration, he would leave the shop without his coffee.

As much as you didn't want to admit it, he intrigued you. The way he gazed that deeply at the menu before ended up ordering the same iced americano. The way you caught him stealing glances at you before hastily focused on his phone when he realized you noticed that with a hint of red blushing his ears. The way his finger occasionally grazed yours when he gave you his black card.

Three months drifted with such days.
