Just another Friday night for Earth. She opens her cheap bottle of wine, lights her cigarette, and sits on the outdoor fire escape of her apartment. "Can I join you?" I would rather be at home, then having to deal other people" "I'm having a party tomorrow on the rooftop" "Does Patrick knows?" Asked Earth "Knows? He's the one cooking. Just come tomorrow, it's a small gathering maybe at 8pm" "Maybe" "Thank you for considering it" "Dee, can you help me?" Yelled Actia, Dee's girlfriend. "Sure babe, I'm just inviting Earth to come tomorrow" Actia slip her head out "YES, please come, we have lots of cute girls and guys" Said Actia, Earth just answers with a smile "You know E, you're never this quiet. In the morning, Earth was cooking in the kitchen and suddenly, a man knocks on her fire escape window "Hey, Hello, Ola, Aloha" Said Park while knocking on the window, Earth stands in front of the window "Can I help you?" I just want to buy an ice cream and go" and suddenly comes Actia and Dee, "my favorite Miss and Miss" Said Mera. Mera once broke them up, by saying that Actia cheats on Dee, and it's a lie. "Miss Mera Smithe. How's hell?" Asked Actia "How's Lucifer?" Asked Dee "You guys are so funny. Do you have a party tonight? FUN" Said Mera "And you're not invited" Said Actia, suddenly there he is ZJ coming from behind Actia and Dee, Earth looks at him, she remembers the happiest moments with him and the last disgusting moment. "Hey babe, look" Said Mera "Hey" Said ZJ to Earth "Hey" "Okay. So babe, Actia and Dee are having a party tonight, and we're not invited, can we come?" Asked Mera to ZJ "Maybe , we shouldn't come" Said ZJ to Mera while looking at Earth, while Earth is thinking how it would be nice to eat an ice cream right now "Thank you Z. I missed you. We're here" Said Actia Park walks towards them "Hey, I'm just preparing food for the party" Said Park "Park is Earth boyfriend" Said Actia "He's my what?" Asked Earth while she's taking an ice cream "So they just dated so it's very low key" Said Dee "And we have to go. Bye" Said Actia while pulling Earth's and Park's hand "what?" Said Park "Okay, heads up. The big guy is Earth's ex and the other person is, was, our best friend" Said Actia while Earth just eats her ice cream "That woman, fucks Earth's ex while and she's her roommate" Said Dee, Park just nods and listen to their stories, they keep on going with the story while they shopped and walks home. When they arrived at the apartment building, "Finally, it was a long walk" Said Earth "Hey, don't forget to bring your food or drink" Said Actia to Park "Okay! See you guys" Said Park.
When Earth was ready to go and it's only 8pm, she wants to come late, so she sits on the fire escape so take a cigarette "Hey" Said Park from below "Hey, come up" Said Earth "I am sorry about Actia and Dee, sometimes they talks too much" Said Earth "It's okay, they seems very nice" Said Park "Yes, they are" "Aren't you going upstairs?" Asked Park "Maybe 30 mins more. I don't like to mingle" Park laughed, suddenly a finished sound of the oven from Park's apartment "Well, see you upstairs. And don't forget to try my food" Said Park while he went back.
It's more than 45 minutes, so she went upstairs, and it was not a 'small gathering '. She looks for Actia and Dee and gave them a whiskey. She looks for Park, to try his food, but she couldn't find her, so she just stands there "Hey" Said Park "Hey, I was looking for you" "You were?" "Yes. I want to try your food" "Come on" they went to the food table, Park takes a plate and puts a noodle to the plate "Try it" Said Park, Earth tries it "It's delicious" "are you sure?" "Yes. Since you already know why I moved here" Asked Earth "It seems like a nice apartment, and it's close to my work" Said Park "Oh" they take a sip and it's so awkward "So, what do you think of this party? Asked Park, "It's okay. I mean, Actia and Dee always know how to make other people feel at home" "I agree. You know all these people?" "Well, kinda. I just know them from Actia and Dee's stories. And so are they. You already probably know Patrick" "Yes the landlord" "Yes. Those old couple over there are Henry and Rose, sometimes they give me a cupcake. And over there..." Earth keeps on talking about the resident here, Actia pokes on Dee and points to Earth, "It's been a while since I see her smile like that" Said Rose to Actia and Dee "Us too" Said Dee.
Actia, Dee, and Patrick are cleaning up, while Earth and Park are still talking. "Come on, let's help them" Said Park, they both clean up too. Park walks Earth to her room with Actia and Dee too, since they live next to her. "Thank you for the food P, See you soon" Said Actia while closing the door, "Well, thank you for the conversation and the food too" Said Earth "Of course, anytime" Said Park, Earth opens her door and already in her apartment, she really thought that Park would ask her to hang out, "Okay, bye. Thank you again" Said Earth while closing the door. Earth looks down and shakes her head with a smile "This expectation in life". She opens another bottle of wine, and drinks it on the fire escape. Actia slowly comes to the fire escape, sit next to Earth, and lay her head on Earth's shoulder "It seems that he regrets it" "What? talking to me?" Asked Earth "Of course, no. Not asking you out. He did stand there for maybe a minute, thinking to knock your door" "Wait, are you.." "Yes, I peek at the peek hole. I wanted to see. I'm sorry" "It's okay, A" "I miss that, people call me A and calls you E" "Me too. But things are different now" "I know" "So, did he really almost knocks on my door?"
