Michael's POV
It's been 2 moons since we were married, on the palace steps.
We lived in the cottage by the lake, because she wanted to.
I moved our bed near the center rug, to add a room for her clothes. The adjoining bath area, enlarged. I removed the walls as Solon instructed, and made a 15 foot heated wading area.
She seemed pleased with my improvements. Only smiling widely when I showed her, and well, dragged me to make love to her on the pool.
This woman... my not- a- sister... best friend.. beloved, owner of my being-- can drag me wherever the heck she pleases... as long as she takes me with her, I have no complaints. Period.
"I am sorry it took this long a time, Nia," I started, standing to her left, "I was having difficulty with sealing the glass to prevent the water from coming in"
We were standing at the cave entrance. There really was no entrance since we could only teleport in, but this was where everything converged.
The entrance is a half circle depression, lighted at a 20 foot ceiling, by a large circular chandelier that I replaced the candle holders with my smaller glow bulbs.
To the left, a small winding staircase led to a vast array of books and wooden bookshelves. This was Noah's area. The bottom area had been divided among us in an elongating pattern. Whoever needed more space, need only to carve out the rocks away from the entrance.
The biggest one we made, at our center, contained barrels and barrels of alcoholic drinks, Noah's cheeses, curing meats ,tubs of aging sauces, and of course the metals we pile up.To the right, we... rather, I have been making a large glass enclosure for the lake water's edge.
The lake is beside the cave, on my side. And there was no way to we could make room for her space if I didn't strip out the remaining rock that held the river waters.
Earlier, She had summoned me while I was busy,
"Nia! .. sorry... come!"
I spoke hastily and reached for her hand to teleport.
"I need to finish this first! Other wise the whole thing might burst!" I quickly let go her hand and concentrated on the high glass wall in front of me.It was a 50ft long by 8feet, 5 inch thich glass that I managed to heft over earlier, thankfully Solon and Edilbert were around to help.
Most areas were sealed when they left but some leaked, and I had been trying to seal them properly."Michael, it looks wonderful!" She says, standing several feet behind me.
"I'm glad you like,Nia" I say, not turning around, "stay back for a bit while I finish this,"
I was holding the large glass bottle under my arm and directed lightning to the glass edges. They melt at the heat, and meld with the metal frame underneath.
Some areas appeared uneven in my mind's eye, bubbles of air were inside the glass, making it brittle. I concentrate on those, mixing my elements slowly. The lightning forks I grabbed with my fingers and weaved together to form a single strand as it came out the glass bottle."Finally," taking one last long look at the glass edges, I remove my hold on the elements --fire, wind, water, in my mind's eye.
The thick angry clouds inside the bottle quiet down, and the lightning stops.I turn around to see her, my wife!
That word still sends my body to a rush of energy, building on my chest and stomach,
The vision in front of me makes the sensation even stronger,
then my crotch moved,
"o crap"She chuckles, walking slowly towards me, her eyes narrowed, glinting with mirth.
Those lips.. curved slightly upward in a mischievous grin."Uh," I grin, and scratch my head. The heat on my growing erection intensifying, no thanks to that smile of hers. The things this woman makes me feel. I could only sigh deeply when she reached for my neck and dragged my head down to meet her lips.
