NO ONE'S POV

Two months had already passed, but time only drew Harry and Taylor closer to each other. The past two months had been great for both of them. They spent a lot of time together, especially at Taylor's house. Her parents became really fond of Harry. They seldom see Taylor radiating with happiness, until Harry came along in her life. On the contrary, Taylor hadn't met Harry's parents yet. She had already met Harry's best friends and band mates, Louis, Zayn, Niall and Liam, and they were really nice to her. Harry had taken Taylor to some of their band rehearsals and shows, so she became familiar with All the other boys already. She was so used to guys making fun of her disability, but Harry and his friends were totally different from what she had known. She hadn't met his sister yet, because Gemma and her parents lived on England and had only visited Harry in New York once.
However, they were in the city for a couple of days at the moment. Harry had been very vocal of Taylor to his parents, so they invited her over for lunch with the family.

Taylor felt anxious to meet Harry's parents. She thought highly of them, and she was worried that they wouldn't find her suitable for their son because of her awful condition.

"Don't be nervous. Just act normal," Harry reminded as he helped Taylor walk towards his parents' house.

"But I'm not normal," she countered, feeling disappointed to herself and nervous to meet her boyfriend's parents.

Shaking his head, he pulled her to a stop right in the middle of the driveway, and hugged her tightly. "You are my Taylor and you are extraordinary. You're going to be fine," he said before kissing her softly. "I love you, baby."

Upon taking a deep breath, she linked their hands together and willingly put her brave face on. "Fine... I'll do it for you."

"Tay, they are going to like you, just give them some time," he said comfortingly, rubbing her knee as he navigated out of his parents' driveway. The lunch didn't turn out great. Although Gemma seemed to love Selena, Harry's parents weren't so thrilled to be meeting her. They shot her with different questions in which she answered with information that weren't so pleasing for their taste. They asked her about her education history, family background, profession, and lots of things that blatantly expressed their criticisms. They weren't rude, but they weren't sweet to her, either. They were polite, but anyone could sense their coldness towards her.

Taylor felt like they were just trying to be nice to her the whole time she was there, when all they really wanted to do was to get rid of her.

"How can I even think they would like me? I'm nothing. I'm useless. I'm blind and I'm ugly. I'm not what they want for you," she stated as she started to cry.

"You're being emotional again. Just stop," he whined, feeling sick of hearing her insecurities over and over again.

Taylor didn't really appreciate his attitude towards him. Therefore, his sudden reaction caused her to feel angry.

"Stop the car," she said sternly.

"I'm not going to stop," he replied, feeling irritated.

"Stop the damn car right now!" she yelled at him furiously.

"Fine! If that's what you want!" he said, giving up and pulling the car to a stop along the sidewalk. "Now, what? Are you going to continue yelling at me? Because-"

Taylor couldn't take it anymore. She shakily got out of the car and unfolded her cane, ignoring all the words coming out from Harry's mouth. The tears wouldn't stop running down her face as she walked away from him with her shattered heart and broken dreams.

Harry felt furious at Taylor when she walked out of the car. He was too angry that he left his blind girlfriend in the middle of nowhere. It was winter. There was snow everywhere, and it was very cold outside. Once he had realized how stupid he was for even letting her out of the car, let alone leaving her in God knows where, he turned the car back around and started searching for the poor girl.

Violent sobs escaped Taylor's chest as she walked and tapped her cane on the floor with one hand clutching her phone close to her ear. "Austin? Would you please pick me up? Please? I don't know where I am, just please track my phone," she said when she reached her brother's voice mail. "I need you. Please call me," she added before ending the voice message.

Taylor didn't know what to do and she didn't know where she was. She was scared as hell, knowing that anyone could make fun of her anytime. She could have called Harry, knowing that he was probably still around the area, but she was stubborn and she felt furious at him.

While she was busy wandering down the quiet street, a certain sound caught her attention. It was a sound of footsteps getting closer towards her direction.

"Who's there!?" She asked frantically.

"Looks like we've got here a special girl for dessert!" Taylor cringed in fear when she heard an old man's voice.

"Don't be scared, love," another voice said.

Taylor felt sick to her stomach, due to all the emotions firing up inside her. She cried as a hand close around her arm. She tried pulling away but his grip was too tight, it was hurting her. "No, please don't," she cried. The cold wind blew against her fragile form, but it didn't bother her. She was more concerned in finding a way to escape the dark path she was going to be forced to take. "I'll give you all the money I have, just don't hurt me," she begged.

Someone pulled her cane and then she heard a crack, indicating they broke it. She wailed upon realizing that Harry's precious gift to her got broken.

"We don't want your money," another guy said.

Her whole body shook in fear as she screamed and fought against their grips.

Harry on the other hand, was searching around the area where he stupidly left her. Something caught his eye when he passed by an alley. He immediately spotted Taylor being harassed by a group of disgusting men trying to take advantage of her. Harry's heart raced as he got out of the car and ran towards the commotion. Upon noticing the presence of a witness, the five men released Taylor and ran away, leaving her alone. But before that, one of the guys pushed Taylor hard and it made her stumble. She fell on her butt and cried harder than before. She didn't know what just happened, but once she felt a familiar pair of arms wrap around her fragile body, she knew she was already safe. He came back for her. She was saved.

Harry carried Taylor towards the car because she was shivering badly. Once they were inside, he turned the heater up a notch, and draped his jacket over her cold body.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry, love. It's my fault. I promise I wouldn't do that again," he said upon caressing her face.

"Harry..." she mumbled while her teeth were chattering.

"I'm here, I'm here, baby," he said before kissing her on the lips. She was having bad chills and he figured he had to get her home fast and keep her warm. "I'm going to take you home now, love... I love you," he whispered as he held onto her for dear life.
