Next day

Taylor couldn't help but think about Harry. She had a great time with him yesterday. They talked and he even walked her home. It was hard for her to trust him because he was a stranger to her, but it was even harder for her to say no to him. Now, she was back at Starbucks, waiting on the line to make an order. It's nine in the morning and she was happy she was able to go there smoothly without her cane. It was a daily routine for her to drop by at Starbucks every morning, but today felt different. At the back of her mind, she was hoping that Harry would happen to be there too, just so she could spend some time with him. She loved hanging out with him because he was so nice to her.

"Hey! Guess who?" a familiar voice came from behind her and she certainly knew who it was.

"Harry? Hi!" she greeted and smiled as she turned to the direction where his voice came from.

"You really know how to recognize people with just their voices," he said in surprise, as he stood next to her. "So, what's your order?"

"Huh? No, I'll pay for mine."

"No, I'll pay," he said as he held her hand. She just smiled shyly and told him her order. After ordering their food and drinks, he led Taylor to a booth where she could sit and wait for him. Harry on the other hand, walked back to the counter to claim their orders.

Once Harry was back beside her, she took the courage to ask him questions. "So, what are you doing here?" she asked politely.

"Just want to have coffee. Besides, I just happened to know that a certain blonde will be here today," he teased.

"How did you know that?" she asked curiously.

"Someone gave me a tip."

"Ugggh, Karlie," she groaned.

Karlie had been her friend since she and her family have moved here in New York. She was Taylor's first friend here. She always visits Taylor in her house or she takes her to the park sometimes. She loves Taylor because she was always a good listener to her problems and rants.

"Speaking of Karlie, she told me to give this to you yesterday. I kinda forgot to do that," Harry said sheepishly as he handed her the item that Karlie gave him yesterday.

She took the thing in her hands and smiled when she felt it. "Oh, my cane. Thank you!"

Harry felt silly that he hadn't thought it was a cane. "Why is it short?"

"It's foldable, silly!" she laughed.

"Really? I haven't seen one," he said dumbfounded.

"Here..." she said as she unfolded the cane so she could show it to him. "Oh, it's broken," she frowned upon noticing a broken part.

He eyed the item and saw that some parts to connect the cane were gone. "Yeah, I think something was gone," he said sympathetically.

"I have to tell my dad to buy me a new one, then," she shrugged and felt slightly sad, as she didn't want to be a burden to her family. You see, her family loved her so much; they give her special treatment, and they support her no matter what. She felt kinda sad that she would never repay them for the hard work and effort they are giving to her, and she thinks she was not worthy for their kindness. She felt that it was too much and they are too sweet and kind to her. So in return, she always made sure to find a way to get herself out of trouble.

"Where do you buy those things?" he asked out of curiosity.

She smiled at him. "There's a shop in 2nd avenue."

"Oh... Anyway, do you work?" he asked, changing the topic.

"Yeah, sometimes," she answered shyly.
