Love in the air

For the next few weeks they called and texted everyday, laughing and joking and being happy. To Him she was his princess his everything and to her his was her bubs, they continued to see each other her staying over at his and every time she would stay over it would be amazing. One night he couldn't get to sleep he tossed and turned but he couldn't shut his eyes and fall asleep, he sat in his chair and wrote down everything he felt and was thinking about he was upset and worried about his daughter as the next day was fathers day. She awoke to him walking back to bed "How come you still awake" she whispered, he then told her about everything, how he was feeling and his worries, when she cuddled him he felt more safe than he ever felt, it was like all his problems just went away whilst she was holding him. And the next day he felt a lot better having her hold him making him feel better. A few weeks went by and it was time for him to meet her family, he felt anxious and nerves were kicking in, he was meeting new people which he didn't enjoy at most times, he let his emotions get the best of him as he stayed in her room for ages not coming down. He let the anxiety get the best of him and he wishes he broke out of that cage and ventured forward feeling less nervous, he previously relationship had left him emotionally broken and completely down and out. And then her birthday came, she was excited and couldn't wait for people to come over, he made his way up to her house to see her on her birthday and enjoy, but what happened was he was overthinking and didn't feel okay and he need the space to think but he didn't want to ruin and spoil her day so he regretfully lied to her he still feels guilty and like a fool for lying to the woman he loves. For the days after that incident he told himself no matter what happens or what is said or what situation he is in to never hurt her or lie to her and make her feel less trusting in him, whens shes annoyed with him he feels like he's walking in a windy cold storm with nothing to protect him from the cold showers of his wrong doings. He imagines everyday enjoying life and enjoying it with her, apart from his daughter she is the best thing that has happened to him and he hopes to keep her in his life for a long time
