This is part isn't going to have anything about Abbi in it. Just a Phil and Mason POV and a group chat discussion:)

~Phil POV~
"Phil" Mason shouted running up to me. "Look I'm sorry about what happened bro but I just got heated in the moment and I know that everyone here would protect Abbi if we thought someone was hurting her" he said apologetically.
"Listen Mase its ok I'm sorry too I mean I just wanted to talk to her and I have been for a while so I got impatient and I should of just let her go." I said back to him.
We shook hands and I guess that was our friendship back on track again. Not like it ever went off track but I mean do friends punch each other until they bleed? No I don't think so. But anyway it's over and done with now.

Later on in the changing rooms we were all laughing and talking about how we were looking forward to the game tomorrow when Mason spoke up saying he had an idea. As soon as he started talking it went down hill. No one knows that I like Abbi and I want it to stay that way but now I've got some competition. Mason announced he felt like he had found the perfect girl for him and he wanted to ask her to be his girlfriend after tomorrow's big game. My heart sank and it only does this when I get told something that's terrible. The rest of the team seemed happy for him but I was glaring unintentionally. He looked up to where I was standing and I completely lost it. I walked out the room feeling hopeless now the team knew he liked her and that they were supporting him.

I walked to the Bathroom, washed my face with cold water and punched the wall a few times. Forming a small purple bruise on my knuckles. I didn't care. I didn't care about anything right now. Not even about the game tomorrow. I didn't realise how one girl could make me so weak and passionate about loving her.

After that incident the boys were asking why I walked off and I just said I had to use the bathroom but I could clearly see they weren't convinced. We trained like normal but I was still holding a grudge against Mason. We were playing in 2 teams against each other when Mason came up behind me trying to get the ball and I simply kicked him in the back of the knee. He fell to the ground in pain and I just walked away feeling the cold stares of my teammates on the back of my head.

"Foden" Southgate called. "Over here now"
I already knew I was in trouble and I felt I had to tell Gareth the truth but I couldn't. That wasn't fair on anyone.
"What was that about then?" He questioned.
"Sorry Gareth" I replied. "Im just having a rough day." I forced a smile.
"I'll let you off this time but I want you to apologise to Mason please because he seems hurt."Gareth said.
"Ok" I sighed, walking towards the hobbling player.
"Look Mason I'm sorry ok?" I said.
"I don't know what's going on with you mate but you have to get over it." He said. "If it's about Abbi you can tell me" he whispered.
"No Mason what's going on with me is none of your business" I snapped.
"You two stop" Harry said. "Get over it, remember we are a team and whatever is happening with you two has to stop now. Got it?"
"Yes Kane" Mason said not breaking eye contact with me.
"Yes ok sorry" I said turning to look at Harry.
"Good now back to training" Southgate said as he walked past.

Once the day was over I went home, ate and pretty much went straight to bed. I had so much to think about but I just wanted to sleep. My phone kept buzzing from the group chat we had. What i saw made me so angry again but even so I didn't know if Abbi liked Mason back? What if she did though. Then my chances would be over. I had to try something. Even if it meant sabotaging my friendship with Mason.

Mason: Alright so the plan is we finish the game (hopefully we win) then I bring her to the pitch and that's when I ask her? Sound good?

~Mason POV~
I hadn't seen Abbi today but I didn't mind because I couldn't wait to ask her to be my girlfriend. Something is up with Foden and I'm assuming it's to do with her. He full on kicked me in training and we just made up with eachother. I don't know what's going on with this guy but whatever it is he isn't telling anyone. I'm not going to let what's happening affect me right now considering tomorrow is the big day! Bring on the Euros.
