Okay, so I am so sorry I haven't written in so long. We (my fam and I) went to Kansas City for the weekend. On our way home, we drove through a category 2 hurricane-level storm that went through the midwest. Like I'm talking 70 mph winds. Just think: a huge 11 passenger van trekking through a hurricane with no large bodies of water. Scary, right?! On top of that, I got carsick!!! I NEVER GET CARSICK!!! I READ IN CARS LIKE EVERY TIME I RIDE. And this carsickness was INTENSE. I took Dramamine!! I've never had that before! I took a whole dose and thankfully nausea went away, but I got so tired. Like wiped out.

ON TOP OF THAT we get home to NO POWER. NOTHING. NO AC. NO LIGHTS. NO HOT WATER. I CRIED. I ONLY CRY DURING SAD MOVIES OR IF I GET REALLY TICKED OFF.

But finally, after 4 days of no power... THANK GOD FOR MY CITY'S ELECTRIC COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just as we were at a breaking point, we go out to get breakfast (coz we only had cereal in the home and no one in my family except for Maverick and Langdon like dry cereal), and when we get home the power is on. I just about cried.

Anyhoo, Ellia has had a bit of a cough and sore throat (NOT COVID) while the power was out, and today Benaiah went to the doctor because he, too had a cough and wasn't feeling good. Turns out he has RSV and a double ear infection.

I'll finish storytime tomorrow.
