Jealousy Game

Let's play the jealousy game

"Brooklyn. What are you doing in here?" Ana asks jumping out of the bed.  I look away from her and look at Chase who is laying in bed staring at me in shock.

I just walked in on my boyfriend cheating on me with the schools head cheerleader. I don't say anything and just turn around. I walk away from the room not looking back and just rush down the stairs.

I don't realize that I'm crying until I bump into someone and they speak. "Brooklyn what's wrong?" Zack asks making me look up at him.

"Why are you crying? Did something happen to you? Did someone hurt you?" He asks worried. I wipe the tears from my eyes as I look up at him.

"He ch.." I start to say but get interrupted by Chase yelling my name. I sigh and turn around to face him. "No Chase, I don't want to hear it. I know what I saw. And I'm done with you." I scream at him.

"Please just hear me out." He says reaching for my hand. "No!" I shake my head pulling back from him. "You cheated on me with Ana. I caught you in bed fucking her!" I tell him as more tears roll down my cheek.

"Let me explain." He says starts to say. "No. I'm done hearing your excuses. We're done. I'm breaking up with you." I tell him. "Babe please." He says stepping closer to me.

"She's done hearing your bullshit Chase." Zack says pulling me away from Chase. "Come on B. Let's go find Sophia and I'll take you home." He says. I nod slightly and walk away from Chase.
Zack grabs my hand leading me through the crowd that had gathered around us. I look down hiding my face with my hair as the tears continue to fall from my eyes.

We find Sophia talking to the guy she was dancing with earlier. "Hey, sorry to interrupt you. Sophia it's time to go." Zack says. She looks over at me and nods.

After saying bye to the guy Sophia, Zack and I walk out of the house. While we're walking to Zack's car he tells Sophia what happened. The entire time he doesn't let go of my hand.

I get into the passenger seat when we get to his car and put on my seatbelt. Zack begins to drive to Sophia's house so I lean my head back against the seat and look out of the window.

The car ride is silent. "I'll call you tomorrow okay." Sophia says when we get to her house. I nod giving her a small smile as she gets down. I sigh softly wiping the tears off my face.

I try to forget about what happened at the party when Zack starts driving to my house. "Hey, it's going to be okay. I'll always be here for you." Zack says softly. I look over at him and give him a small smile.

"Thanks." I say softly. "Thank you for tonight." I add. "I'm your best friend B. It's my job to always be there for you." He says pulling into my driveway.

I lean over and give him a tight hug. "I'll check in on you tomorrow." He whispers. I nod before letting go of him. I pull the sun visor down looking in the mirror wiping my face before getting out of the car and turn around to face him as I close the door. The last thing I need right now is Bryce asking me questions. "Text me when you make it home. Thanks for the ride." I tell him.

"I will goodnight." He says. "Goodnight." I close the door and step back. I turn towards the door after he pulls out of the driveway and takes off. I start walking up the porch but stop  when I hear someone say my name. I sigh softly already knowing the voice. "Chase I meant what I said at the party. I'm done. I don't want to hear it." I tell him turning to face him.

"Babe, I'm not leaving until you hear me out." He says walking up to me. "It's Brooklyn. We're broken up now and I don't want anything to do with you so from now on just call me Brooklyn." I say and turn around to walk away.
