24. Mafia

                   HADES'S POV:

I never realised that I had dozed off watching Aria with her family.

I was in my study when something drew my attention towards the under side of the table. There was a small pony making noises. Who the fuck put that scary shit down there?

I was about to call the cleaning crew when a small whimper came from under the table.

"Daddy..", a little girl sobbed crawling out from there. Her eyes were red and she was crying rubbing her eyes harshly while saying something.

"Who are you? What were you doing there?", I asked.

"You killed me. You took Mama away.", She sobbed pointing her little finger towards me. I tensed up as I saw the girl's full face clearly. She looked like Aria but her eyes were a copy of mine.

"Wh--who"

"You killed me.", She said angrily as her hands turned into fists.

"YOU TOOK MAMA AWAY.", She screamed making my eyes flew open. My hand patted my chest as I felt it difficult to breathe. I'm turning mad.

I looked under the table to find the girl gone. S---he, she was our daughter...who would have been alive, if...

"I hate you.", She had whispered so brokenly and in so much pain that I wanted to kill myself. I snatched my happiness away from myself, on my own.

"Boss, Mr. Alexander.", A guard bowed slowly entering into the room and I nodded to let the man in.

As soon as he entered, his eyes blazing with furry met mine and very soon, I felt my jaw make a noise. Take it. Take it calmly. I repeated to myself. I would've fucking cut him into small pieces if he wasn't aria's dad.

"YOU BASTARD! WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY DAUGHTER????", He shouted shaking me and grabbing my collar. I held his hands before jerking them off me.

His murderous glare hardened more and I gave him similar one of mine. But he didn't shrink back like I had thought, he would.

"She's my daughter, my pride and my love. I'll kill you with my own hands after taking her from here.", He growled as his eyes showed a twisted emotion. He wasn't a professor, that I could guess from his eyes alone. He had that aura around me that is found in fearless lions, the lions that are in the mafia.

"You can't take her from here. She might be your daughter but now she is mine. My property.", I replied imapssively and the very next second, I was being choked.

Twisting his hand, I got out from his hold and then all the hell broke loose. Damn! The man was strong but I was no less than him.

My guards pulled him away as we breathed heavily with blood leaking out of our mouth and nose. I think he cracked my nose.

"SHE IS NO ONE'S PROPERTY. AND I'LL SEE HOW YOU WILL STOP ME FROM TAKING HER AWAY.", He shouted pushing the guards away who looked at him worried.

I sighed in defeat before rubbing my head as it throbbed in pain.

"Pour some whiskey and get out.", I ordered splashing some water on my face to get rid of the sting and blood.

I turned back once the door closed and sipped through the glass. Looking at the laptop, I found Alexander talking on his phone while Sofia tried to calm him down.

I called my men to ask them to be prepared. The only thing that I couldn't understand was, 'if he was a powerful man then how couldn't he find her till now?'.

            TWO HOURS LATER:

My phone rang drawing me away from my laptop. Aria was eating again and was trying to smile too. Progress.

"What?", I barked out once I saw that it was father or should I say the sperm donor. Whatever.

"S--son...l--et her go...we a--re doomed. Her f--ather is no common man. They have our everything and his men are going to kill me.", He cried from the other hand making my hands shook and jaw twitch in anger.

"What do you mean? And where are you?", I asked walking out of the office to find the hall empty.

"GUARDS! GUARDS!", I shouted but no one came.

"Th--", my father spoke but his cries filled the silence.

I ran towards my room where Aria was kept to find it empty. My blood ran cold as I searched for her everywhere. There was no one in the house.

"ARIA...ARIAAA.", I shouted looking for her everywhere.

"She's gone.", His voice came from behind me making me turn and launch at him full speed. But my attempt was stopped when his men pushed me back and on my knees.

"GET AWAY FROM ME.", I growled fighting them.

"That's how my daughter shouted, didn't she?", He asked bending down to my eye level.

"You are doing so wrong. She's mine.", I snarled earning a punch on my face again and again until I was spitting out blood.

"For so many years, I protected her from everything and then one day, you took her away from me from under my nose.", He said shaking his head.

"I had looked for her everywhere but not once did I think, that she will be in your clutches. I should've fucking thought about it that the only powerful man that could fight me was you.", He spitted out in anger.

"You touched my daughter? Took her innocence AGAINST HER WILL?", He shouted the last part kicking the side of my head making me see stars.

Everything buzzed out after that as I was dragged away from my house, my Aria and my everything.
