CHAPTER 33 - The Meet

Shiva reaches Mehra Co. He enters and sits down for interview. He answers all the questions asked to him genuinely. Panel says they will let him know soon. Shiva is about to leave but turns back.

Shiva : Sir agar mujhe manager ki  position nahi milti toh mujhe koi aur position bhi chalega. Mein yaha koi bhi kaam karne ke liye tayar hoon. Bas yahi office mein kaam chahiye.

Panel : Why Mr. Pandya?

Shiva : Sir kaise bataun kuch samaj nahi aa raha. Aap shayad mujhe bewakoof samjhe par sach yeh hain ki..

He narrates them everything.

Shiva : Aap mujhe yaha desk job bhi do chalega. Aap Jo bhi kaam doge mein shiddat se karunga. Koi shikayat ka mauka nahi dunga. Mein bhale yaha apni wife ko manane aaya hoon par saath mein apna kaam kabhi nahi bhulunga.

Panel  look at each other. Shiva starts leaving.

Panel : Kal subah sharp 9 baje aajana. Hume late aanewale log pasand nahi. Manager ne kitna kaam kiya hain kitna baki hain voh sab bhi toh dekhna hoga na aapko.

Shiva gets teary eyed.

Shiva : Thank You. Thank you so much.

Sir 1 : Vese aapki wife ka naam kya hain?

Sir 2 : Hume nahi janna aapki wife ka naam.  Hum aap se impress the hi par Aapne sach bolkar hamara dil jeeta. Isliye aapko appoint kiya hain. Hume umeed hain ki aap hume disappoint nahi karenge.

Shiva : Bilkul bhi nahi.

Shiva leaves. On the other hand that day in office committe informs Raavi that new manager is going to arrive the next day and that she should be fully prepared. Raavi nods.

Next morning Raavi reaches office early. She is wearing a formal skirt upto her knees and a white shirt tucked in. She arranges the desk properly. She comes out to see all the young girls decked up.

Raavi : What?

Riya : Humne suna hain. Koi bahot handsome manager hain.

Shruti : Haan. Mein toh shirt ke 2-3 buttons khol rahi hoon.

Raavi : Tum sab pagal ho. Hum yaha kaam karte hain. Yeh sab nahi.

Riya : Tum toh ho hi unromantic aur boring. Hum toh nahi haina.

Shruti : Tum toh kisi ladke ki aur dekhti bhi nahi ho.

Raavi leaves from there. She goes to washroom. At that time Shiva arrives in the office decked up in formal clothes. All girls stare him and smiles. But Shiva ignores them and enter the cabin. He calls out peon and order him to call Raavi and tells her to bring the latest files. Peon nods and informs Raavi after she comes out of the washroom. She takes the files and make her way towards the cabin. Shiva eagerly looks at the door. He was going to see her after 9 months. He wanted to hug her, kiss her, and never let her go away. He wouldn't cry . He hears the footsteps of her heels and he turns his chair backwards. Raavi knocks on the door.

Raavi : May I Come In Sir?

Shiva just signs.

Shiva : Please close the door.

Raavi feels as if she has heard the voice. She does what he said and comes near the table and puts the files.

Raavi : Sir

Shiva turns and looks at her. She was obviously not happy. He could sense she was upset. He stands up close to her. Raavi looks at him with horrified expression. Raavi steps backwards but stumbles. Shiva holds her waist and pull her closer in his embrace.
Both have a deep eye lock. Tear start falling from Raavi's eyes. Raavi gets angry and starts to free herself. She tries to push him. But the more she push him, More Shiva pulls her closer.
She looks at him.

Shiva : I am sorry Raavi.

Raavi doesn't respond. Raavi slaps him.

Raavi : Sorry? Tumne socha bhi kaise tum sorry bologe aur mein tumhe maaf kar dungi.

Shiva : Raavi tumhe pata nahi hain maine yeh 9 mahine kaise nikaale hain.

Raavi : Shiva tumhe nahi pata yeh 9 mahine maine kaise nikaale hain.

Shiva : Raavi humara bacha ka..

Raavi : Sabse pehli baat voh hamara bacha nahi tha sirf mera bacha tha.

Shiva : Tha?

Raavi push him away and start walking. Shiva pulls her back keeping his hand on her belly.

Shiva : Raavi mera jaane ka hakk hain.

Raavi : Ab se tumhara mujh par ya mujhse judi koi bhi baat par hakk nahi hain.

Shiva : Raavi hamara bacha kaha hain?

Raavi : Toh suno. Hamara bacha marr gaya hain. Mera accident hogya tha aur sirf tumhare vajah se hua hain yeh sirf tumhare vajah se.

Raavi pulls his collar in anger and push him back. Raavi starts crying badly. Shiva is speechless.

Shiva : Kai... kaise hua yeh sab?

Raavi : Mein tumhe nahi batanewali. You know what mein yeh job chod dungi. Tumhare aas pass ek pal nahi rahungi.

Raavi turns but Shiva hugs her back from behind. He buries his face in her neck.

Shiva: Raavi please I Love You.

Shiva slightly kisses her neck. Raavi turns to him.

Raavi : Yeh sab mat karo Shiva.

Shiva : Tum meri wife ho.

Raavi : Wife? Vohi wife jis par tumne trust nahi kiya. Vohi wife jisko tumne ghar se nikaal diya. Voh wife jo...

Before she could complete her sentence. Shiva seals her lips with his.  Raavi is taken aback. Raavi beats him on his chest indicating him to stop.

Shiva : Vohi wife jisse mein pyaar karta hoon. Vohi wife jisse mein yaha manane aaya hoon. Vohi wife jiske bina mein reh nahi sakta.

Raavi : Aur mein utni hi nafrat kart hoon tumse.

Shiva : Yeh ho hi nahi sakta. Mein jaanta hoon mera pyaar itna kamzor nahi hain.

Raavi : I hate you. Mein vapas nahi aa rahi tumhare saath.

Shiva : I love you. Mujhe pura yakeen hain pyaar pe. Tum kheechi chali aaogi.

Raavi : Aisa kuch nahi hoga. Kyunki mein yeh job hi chod dungi.

Shiva leaves her.

Shiva : Jitni try karni hain kar lo. Tum yeh job chod kar nahi ja paogi.

Both look at each other. Shiva looks at her lovingly whereas Raavi looks at him angrily.
