"Have you heard about the news?"

The woman asked as her eyes were on the another woman who was filling the cup with coffee. "What news?" she questioned back and sipped the coffee. "About our Miss Mara and Ezekial Clyde" the woman smiled and raised her eyebrows.

"Just spill the tea before I spill this coffee on you" the woman impatiently spoke and furrowed her eyebrows. "Well, Miss Mara and Ezekial Clyde were found in the mall yesterday. There is a video about them. It went viral in business world"

The woman said. "Then are they dating?" another woman questioned in confusion. "I don't know. I saw a video about Miss Mara getting abused by her stepmother at the mall. And then Ezekial just popped up from nowhere and rescued our Miss Mara!"

The woman gasped. "Wait what?! That sounds like a romance novel" "I know right!" the two women grinned and walked away from the place. They failed to notice the man who was listening to them with wrinkled eyebrows.

His aurora green eyes were no longer calm anymore. They were shaking in anxiety. Kylo sighed and sat down on the couch with a gloomy face. It was still the early morning and yet his mind was all about the young woman named Mara Athena.

"You have arrived"

The man spoke as the young woman paid the cost. Mara went out of the taxi and inhaled a deep breath. Her hair was swaying in the cold breeze. She did not tie her hair, covering the bruise on her neck with her chocolate colored hair.

The young woman in white colored long sleeves cropped blazer and black colored high waisted pants walked into the company. Her eyes held nothing. They were empty like shells. But those empty eyes lit up when she saw the man.

She walked near to the man with a small smile. "Good morning!" Mara greeted the man who was standing in front of the elevator. The man turned his head and locked his calm aurora green eyes with Mara's honey brown eyes.

"Hi" Kylo dryly replied and returned his attention back to the elevator. "I have a meeting with Ezekial this afternoon. Please write that down in my today schedule" the young woman's words made Kylo furrowed his brows in displeasement.

"Why are you going there?" the man questioned. He did not make eye contact with the young woman, just staring at the elevator door. "Because the CEO of 'Max' company is unwilling to sign the contract with me. So I decided to make the collaboration with Ezekial's company"

Mara spoke as the elevator arrived. Kylo frowned tightly. So she chose to work together with Ezekial. She chose to work together with Ezekial rather than others. So the news about Ezekial and Mara were close were true. They two must be close.

But how? How did they know each other in a short time? Kylo furrowed is brows. Not liking the idea of the young woman choosing to work together with Ezekial Clyde. Should he tell the young woman that he was the CEO of 'Max' company?

Should he let her work together with his company? So she would come to him and work together with him instead. No, he could not do that. He was supposed to destroy this company and this young woman's family. Not to help her.

"Earth to Kylo! Step into the elevator before I close the door" Mara said impatiently and observed the man who was standing like a statue. He was spacing out in the early morning. Maybe her words made him leave the conversation for awhile.

Kylo snapped back to the reality.

He raised his eyebrows in realization. Kylo lowered his head and walked into the elevator with quick steps. How could he not notice the elevator arrival? He squeezed his eyes and stood behind the young woman with a stone face.
